New "Bullitt" Film Will Be Directed By Steven Spielberg

Quote:

To clarify, Deadline Hollywood reports that the new Bullitt movie won't be a remake of the original 1968 film. Instead, it will be an original story centered on Frank Bullitt, the main protagonist played by Steve McQueen. Kristie Macosko Krieger will produce the film alongside Spielberg. Academy Award winner Josh Singer will be writing the script.

----Most of the interest in the original to me was the realism. If this remake gets too outlandish it will not stand the test of time for real gearheads. Who needs another Vin Diesel movie that makes no sense and is outright unbelieveable......Bill S

Preaching to the choir here Bill!! Seeing the first trailers of Fast and Furious I had zero interest.

I have Bullitt saved and go back and watch parts time to time. Dirty Harry too..
The re-make of Gone in 60 Seconds was good I thought, but the original is a classic!

I long for the days of Wile E Coyote and Heckle and Jeckle.

Now that’s entertainment!

I agree!

The SWC have been coming out of the woodwork lately, but this photo is gorgeous!

A truly unique “one of a kind” sports car - timeless.

I would stack this coupe with the FI up against any European sports car.

----Chris,,,Just what we were talking about. The rear exhaust pipe is hanging low, out of position. That brings the exhaust tip pointing upward. Still in all a beauty and a fantastic photo as well. What a backdrop!.....Bill S

There you go again. Bill’s expert critique ….. which I agree with ….. exhaust tip is pointing up ….. bad look.

Also the mirrors need adjustment LOL.
