Hi Bill,

Just an opinion I have in regard to your NOS set of KO.

The huge move towards UFO (Unrestored Factory Original) cars have prompted many to seek out Nice + Used OEM components for a Survivor type automobile, such as that BaT auction of used KO wheels.

The NOS items would only be appropriate on a complete restoration.

Survivors seem to be the choice today.

Again, just my opinion.

Selling anything can be frustrating, especially quality pieces. Likely why I rarely sell anything.
A few years. ago I had a set of 4, no spare, St Louis assembly Installed '67 Bolt-On wheels in very nice condition. Posted them on the NCRS Forum for $12,500.
First guy from PA calls, wants them, then pauses, cautious, I believe because I was an unknown on the forum, so I move to the second caller. He drives up from TX non-stop over night to pick them up.
Next day first caller comes back, wants to cut in on the deal. Sorry, already sold. - Bill W

----This picture was taken before Wayne Carini put that Buick thru a fairly comprehensive resto. It looked really crispy when done, and Roadmasters are really, really nice rides! I worked for a friend on Cape Cod who was a master Buick guy, so I spent time with many and came to really appreciate the quality involved. There was a time when GM was the standard of the world. Sadly, I think that time has passed!

----I should also say that my father had a 41 Roadmaster convert new. Gone by the time I rolled into the world but he actually drove it to San Francisco during the war before heading out to the Pacific theater to do his bit. I do remember his 52 Roadmaster convert mainly because he flipped a cigarette over his shoulder once with the top down. You guessed it, the cig went into the folded down top and by the time we got home the top was smoldering.....Bill S

I will admit to wanting any number of AMC cars from time to time; but not a Pacer, even with flames, not even for 1/10 of that price. Just don't do much for me. I don't care if Wayne and Garth spent time in it, even if Madonna was along for the ride naked.

If money didn't matter, I would buy it for that price. Unfortunately, it does.

Well Bill, that doesn’t surprise me, as anything dealing with the mid-year Corvettes and related parts, you’d be the guy to know it or have it.

I hold “anything” in very nice Survivor condition at a premium, so I’m sure your set of 5 very nice KO would have been my choice.
