Take two minutes to pull that wing off, weld up the holes and no one would know the difference. There was another Mopar in the driveway, but I couldn't get a good pic from the car.

My camera has video on it, now I'm mad at myself for not thinking about catching the chase on the camera. Could have done it if I'd thought about just before they went flying through the stop sign. Another reason I was good to stay in the car, not a great neighborhood.

This is one NICE car, even though it's dirty. One owner, low mileage, and I think it's been sitting 10 or 15 years in this spot. Interior is immaculate black bucket seats, carpet looks showroom fresh. One of the nicest original cars I've seen. Still has all the original equipment hooked up under the hood. The owner is interested in getting rid of it but unsure on a price. Car is in Tulsa.

Going to stray from the backyard muscle find here just a little; one of the office personal here at our dealership just drove up in this 1988, 40K, 5 speed, ram air, Turbo, OHC, 4 Cyl. Belonged to her father, spent it's life inside a garage. Interesting and a very sharp low mileage car.

done deal!!! come get the scooby van, I popped 3 more rides out of hiding this last weekend,*Note to me- stop reading the car classifieds when your driveway is full... getting ridiculous, starting to look like Sanford and Son around my place...going to have to squish the DKW's and the scooby van if they dont leave real quick..the neighbors are cool, but dont think they want a mini junk yard next door,DOH!! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/tongue.gif

Is that backset pair a set of originals or repops....better check for the hidden Vin? ~ Pete

Pete

I'm not real sure which car you are referring to, or what part of the car.

In any case, I'm just posting cars in here for the fun on it. These last two just happen to have signs on them, so I posted that by some chance some one was interested.

I had to do a search to figure out what you were talking about.

My answer would have to be "I don't know", as I have never played with that particular set.

Re: Backyard finds today

I used to see lots of stuff like this when I drove a truck for UPS, the coolest car I ever found was a 69 Z/28, code 10, black, X33D80, with standard interior(black),flat hood with open element air cleaner, and the only options it had was am/fm radio and rosewood package. The guy has every piece of paperwork with it except the original window sticker, it was bought new from Traders or North State chevrolet in Greensboro, NC. I offered him 25K three years ago and he wouldn't take it, but will not fix it either, he is big time into bikes, but the one great thing about the car is that it is stored inside in the dry, it has 64k on the odometer, and when he built his new house 10 years ago he drove it there and has not moved since.

I work for the phone company and I drive around all day looking for stuff.Somebody told me about this one a while back and I looked at it from the street, but today I went there and inquired about the ownership, and found a hole in the fence to walk through and take pictures. The vacant lot is owned buy a business across the street that is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays so later in the week I will be going back to inquire about it and leave my name with the owner. The car was last inspected in 1979,the odometer shows 19,000 miles and it looks like it could be original. It is a 1970 400 formula, most of what you see is surface rust, and all the rust through on the entire car combined would equal the size of a baseball, and the underside is rock solid. The body has only minor dings and a lot of surface rust, with the worst damage being a single 6" flat spot on the body line of one door, but it is fixable. The interior needs a rug kit and a ton of cleaning, but the only rip is about a 1" tear in one seat, the rest of it isnt even really worn, just real dank.I have no idea of the engine other then that the car sits down in the front so it must have one,and by the looks of how stock the car is,I would be willing to bet it is the original,or a properly replaced dealer waranty piece.Otherwise,it looks to need every soft part in the resto book, but all the hard stuff is there.I would really like to get this car and make a nice daily driver out of it.Here are some pics. The 12 bolt with a sway bar is a nice score alone.

Nope; you'll most likely get the old "I'm going to fix it up someday" line. Good luck though; I hope you can save it from the weather.
