One thought have popped up in my mind.
Would these NCRS records be the ones that have circled around in the rumors for 25 years. You know the ones that has said that there are GM records available somewhere... Jan |

It was white with a black gut and had both headers and an extra complete 4:56 gearset in the trunk (right from the factory). Not one other option! Id love to know where that one went. VW's were cool... ...Learned to drive on a 1960, after I would brown nose the old man by cleaning the car up he would let me drive it in the empty lot next to our house. Man was I cool.

VWs were great transportation for broke college kids as I was. My $700 '75 lime green fuellie beetle always got me home safe. Who needs a floor or heat without exhaust fumes anyway.

Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
Besides paper copies of anything, I've always hoped that microfilm records would eventually be found for US cars like what the Canadian built or delivered info is gleaned from. What made me more hopeful is Dave M. shared some GM internal Z16 info once which looked much like the Canadian microfilm, so is it known absolutely yes/no if GM ever made microfilm records for US delivered cars...regardless of whether any is known existing today or not? What does the PHS group use to provide their service, old paperwork or microfilm? ~ Pete |
Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
Back in 86-87 I spoke to a guy that someone told me to call about this supposed Judge I bought. IIRC it may have been Tommy Shaw?, I THINK he was a mag editor back then. He told me to contact Pontiac Public Relations with the VIN and just a few weeks later I got a microfish copy of the build sheet confirming it was a Judge. It was printed out on what looked like the same paper on a roll that was used on the old fax machines and just a tad fuzzy but very readable. This was before PHS I believe. I wonder if that is where PHS got their documents.

Question for the non Corvette Document.
I have not seen a picture of a Chevelle-Camaro or Nova Document and I was wondering if it is exactly the same as these 2 Corvette Documents were it has "For the restoration and preservation of Corvettes" in the top left corner. Did NCRS change that saying to something different for Chevelle, Camaro,Nova etc... or is it exactly the same as the Corvette ones in the photos? |

I got my three back today and was surprised. My 1969 Z28 came from Sullivan Chevrolet Co, Champaign, IL which goes with the NICB report. My race car was delivered to Weber Chevrolet. The 1970 RS Camaro was delivered to Herrin-Gear Chevrolet Jackson, MS. I will be looking for a Herrin-Gear Chevrolet dealer emblem or plate frame...

Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
Wow got the shipping report for the Z/28 yesterday... I have a copy of the original Title listing WA dealer No. 204 as the Dealer No. which comes up as Alan Green Chevrolet in Seattle WA but the Dealers report of sale on the title is Bill Hazelett Chevrolet in Kent WA- figured Dealer trade right? Well the NCRS Doc. shows delivery to Capital Chevrolet in Olympia, WA- double dealer trade? Maybe the deal didn't work out at Alan Green...wow this is Awesome- anyone ever heard of Ed McCarroll? He bought Capital Chev in 1965.

Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
Yeah, I've seen cars that were swapped at least 4 times between different area dealers before they were finally sold!

Casey Cole Chevrolet in Bradford Pa is where my 70 SS Nova came from. Nothing shows up with an internet search for them.
