Re: 70 NOVA SS 396 4SPD
4.10 rear? In a '70? What's the code https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif

Re: 70 NOVA SS 396 4SPD
I'll need to check the rear. Original owner put a 4.56 in the unit for drag racing.

Re: 70 NOVA SS 396 4SPD
Ok, I think the 4.10 rear in '70 would be a special ordered item - which is why I asked about the code. The Deuces have these special ordered rears with a unique code only found on the copo novas, but I would not be surprised if some big blocks with special ordered 4.10 rears would have received the same code.

Interesting, I'll find the code and report.

Re: 70 NOVA SS 396 4SPD
I don't want to start another thread war here BUT,
that build sheet above is bogus.. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/blush.gif question > since when did GM make an M40 4 speed auto trans?? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif answer > NEVER. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif it was an M40 T400 3 speed auto trans. option in 1970. Period, end of subject. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/scholar.gif unless, of course, i'm reading that sheet wrong... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif JH |
Re: 70 NOVA SS 396 4SPD
Kendall, get yourself a "Car Jacket" for that baby....looks like a big vinyl sleeping bag. You lay it out on the floor and drive the car on it, then cover with cloth cover and zip up the bag. They include moisture absorbing packets with the bag. I over inflate the tires, WD-40 as needed, dryer sheets in and out along with the moisture bags, remove battery, Sta-bil in fuel, good coating of rubber and vinyl treatment and some wax on the outside and put her to bed. You can get the bags from Wayne bushey at National Nostalgic Nova..717-252-4192. I use them on all our cars and they work great!!!

Re: 70 NOVA SS 396 4SPD
6161x11,You are correct the bikes are way to close to the Nova. That is this weeks job to move them to the other side of the barn. It's just resting right now not in the final position.
