Re: realistic price for 70 Z-28

I just picked up a Chevy Power Milestones magazine at the newsstands and it included a price guide for Chev. Muscle car guide, 1961 to 1971.
197o Z-28 # 1 car is priced at 40K and at the bpttom of the scale a # 5 car is priced at 13K It says to add 10% or RS option. It also makes it very clear this is a price guide only.

This report was presented by Corvettes & Chevy Trader.

Regards,

Kurt

Kurt,
So, a number 1 car, absolutely perfect and original museum quality not driven is 40k? whats it say for a #2 car?
So far to me it looks as if 28-33k seems to be correct.
Mark.

I can absolutely assure you that a 1970 Camaro in the above condition, such as Phil Borris's 70 COPO that will be ON DISPLAY NEXT SATURDAY at SCR8 could be sold for much, much more than $40K......but WONT be for sale anytime soon !!!!!

"This car is so original it still has the G60 tires on it"

Except it has the wrong tires in the wrong size on it!!!

That makes me wonder about the rest of the claims about the car.

Phil has turned down offers of over 6 digits for his Hugger Orange 70 Z/28, So I can assure you a #1 70-1 Z/28
will do well over 40K. Two years ago a real Nice # match 70-71 Z/28 brought about $15- 20,000. I walked away
from a few I am now kicking myself about... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/frown.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/frown.gif

Here's another for reference. This has been kicking around on ebay for a few weeks and the price keeps dropping:

I agree. Just how hard would it have been to put on the correct hoses and clamps?

Not sure at what level of reference you would use this car. Middle of the road I guess.

The black vinyl top for the forest green Z is MIA. Must have been repainted. How original is it?

I wouldn't use this car as a high reference either.

THIS CAR TRULY BORDERS ON SURVIVOR

Wheres the vinyl top if this borders on survivor? See above, he posted while I was still typing. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/haha.gif

Plugs in the exhaust manifolds indicate that some other stuff didn't survive either.
