Crossed off a few things on the to-do list. Fixed the ground on the cowl flapper solenoid (too much paint on the flapper frame), installed the rocker trim and poverty caps, and aligned the front end.

Still need to adjust the column lock-out linkage because the car starts in reverse. Then, the last of it includes wiper arms, antenna, Canadian under hood decals, and the restored Golden Mile Ontario dealer tail pan emblem which is on its way.

I know its last minute before MCACN, but if anyone knows of an original F7014 Goodyear Polyglas tire with a 7-digit date code for sale that I could use for a spare, I would gladly pay a reasonable finder's fee or just owe you big time!

Found an original F70-14 Goodyear Polyglas white letter tire to use as a spare. What makes it even better is that it's dated a month before the car's production date - UY = 1969 May!

Yes, I think I have everything. The Golden Mile emblem is done (looks great - thanks Ed) and I should have it soon. The plan is to wrap things up by mid-next week giving us time to spare before heading to Chicago.

Jim.. Don't drill any holes for the emblem. Use some 3M tape, even if you have to cut of the the studs...

Agreed! There will be absolutely no drilling on the tail pan... It's all good though because when Paul shared this emblem with me, it already had the studs removed.

The plan is to use 3M Press-In Place Emblem Adhesive 08069. But I'm still not sure which side of center to place the emblem.

Despite careful inspection after media blasting, we could not find any stud holes previously drilled in the tail pan. It's not clear if the original holes were very nicely welded up at the time of the earlier repaint or if the car never had an emblem to begin with.

On the Golden Mile 69 Camaros that you remember, Bruce, was the emblem typically to the left of center? You may have already commented on this in another thread but I'm having a hard time finding it.
