Most likely correct ? The docs support and the original owner that was there confirm the conversion and when it happened. Every car was not converted prior to an order taking place. I am aware of the casting date location ...it is D 18 7 and yes it is 2 plus months prior to build date. Engine cast is 351 . Was Eriksen a Yenko network dealer ??

The original owner will be with me at a few shows ...he is a very honest trustworthy man.

Look, I am not arguing with you. Does it make sense to you that a 67 Camaro with a 396 would sit on the lot for 9 months? Just a question. Dealerships are there to sell cars! Not trying to cause problems. It’s a great car!!!

The period from summer of 67 into spring of 68 is confusing for me as far as Yenko details go. Quite a few 67s did not sell until into 68. What did Warren say about that? It’s probably explained in someone’s book but I haven’t found the right book.

Eriksen was a Yenko dealer - at least in 69 - but a can’t confirm for summer of 67. I checked, no docs on the car.

I guess I just don't get it??? the car, history, paperwork etc speaks for itself why is there any second guessing?

I believe Mills Chevrolet was a Yenko dealer in 67 68. I know a 68 was crashed at the strip sold from Mills. In 70 Bob Ericksen was the Yenko dealer selling 1 deuce that we know of. I know of no 69 Yenko cars sold from any Quad cities dealers in 69.

The car was very expensive prior to the conversion and a weird color combo .....I was told by Warren Dernoshek that the left over 67 cars were taken around back to a holding lot. And the original owner confirms that Don Yenko could not sell him a 68 Z ...because he told Don ...I want a Big Block ....so Don took him around back and showed him this 67 Yenko...the rest is history. Knowing the story of Don Yenko driving this car with a 19 year old kid is priceless...as well as Don was apart of the sell.

I talked to (CRG) Kurt a few weeks ago and he confirmed that this is the only documented Nantucket blue with Red Deluxe gut at this time...but as I say ....another one will pop up

Well - there is no second guessing. I told you I wasn’t here to cause problems.

I did a lot of research on the 1967 Yenko Camaros.

I believe Don had some shipped from Chevy to a storage building in East St Louis near where Dick Harell had a small shop. I think 20 to 30 Camaros were sent there.

Howard Sober Inc was used for shipping and they had a terminal in East St Louis in this same area
They may have been shipped by rail from Chevy as there are rail yards in this area.

Dick Harrell was sending the conversion paperwork to Yenko and it got saved in the old Yenko files later found by Warren D.

Many of these cars were special order or fleet orders with the "dash" trim tag

Not all of the cars were converted as at least one 1967 SS 375hp Camaro was sold by Yenko Chevy and the new owner went to pick it up at a St Louis storage facility well after the 1968 Camaros were on the lot.

When I looked through Warren's paperwork, it showed most of the St Louis cars had 427 conversion, headers, scattershield, gauges, traction bars, hood pins, High Temp ign. wires installed . Not many had fiberglass hoods installed.

Maybe this car was sent to Yenko Chev from the St. Louis storage facility?
would be interesting to compare the trim tag data with other known Yenko Camaros.

Thank you Joe C for the great information.... during the conversion from March 4 1968 until March 16, 1968 ....John the original owner was just 19 years old .... and having to wait 12 days for the process to take place was an eternity to a 19-year-old kid. This car/ Documentation is full disclosure from the beginning...I want to honor the car and original owner as they should be. Please call or email me and I can forward you the trim tag photo for your files. It does have the dash - after the 4N on the TT
