Re: Gas Stations
Here's a photo of my grandfather at his Standard station in Milwaukee, WI. The photo was made into a mural to cover the service panel in my garage.

Do you have a preferred color? I've personally seen em in Blue,Red,Green,White,Yellow & Cream (Beige). If you do find one, make sure it's not painted. A few are painting them to customers desire, then saying they're authentic. Porcelain doesn't scratch off. </div></div> Good advice, I am familiar with porcelain and how it should look. Most all of those lights have a thin black band around the edge/lip. I prefer to find stuff that has not been messed with. Color? Beggars can't be choosers, lol. Red, Blue or Green would be my preference. |
Re: Gas Stations
These pictures were in a old house I bought as a rental. Guy was a Photographer for the local paper.
Sorry that one is not gas station related, but it has an interesting, artistic appeal to it IMO. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...ker_g_town.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...recker_not.jpg |
Re: Gas Stations
Green is the most common, used @ docks, farms, bulk plants and many stations too.
Blue & Red are the most sought after & usually have to pay a premium. White,Yellow & Cream the hardest to find, but not much interest once they are,due to those colors. |

Bought a few things from someone out of state.
Turned out, they used to own a local Sunoco Gas station right here a few towns over from me as a kid,Dons Sunoco. They included these items along as a keepsake. |
