Re: Fixed after NINE years

Plan on doing it soon. It's been that way since it came home from storage in 2007, but the car's never been on the road long enough to fix it.

First show!

Took it to its' first show today. Ran just fine. Added to the list is a different thermostat, like a 160. It has a 190 I think, which I just don't like.

Funny story: When I was 8 or so, a guy asked me about the Chevelle and if it was for sale, and I said "yes" to the last one (I didn't really hear the question) and he started to back in the driveway, for me to run and yell NO NO, IT'S NOT FOR SALE! Well, he continued to stop by and ask from time to time. Answer always no.

Guess who was at the car show tonight? Yep. Answer was still no. Nice guy though.

You are much more polite than my son.

A couple weeks ago we had my old Viper race car out on the street and a guy asked if it was for sale. My son yelled at him: "HELL NO! IT'S MINE!!!"

I didn't say it like that, but there was no short of conviction in my voice.

67 Chevelle plans

Thank you!

The plans this year are simple: New exhaust. 3" with Dynomax Bullets. The Thrush mufflers sound nice, but they're just not loud enough and they don't allow the sound of the cam to shine. Need to swap the front wheels for 7" after painting those (No money for powder coating.) Probably going to swap the shifter. The Pro-Matic's ratcheting just doesn't work correctly. Shame, it's such a good looking shifter.

Re: 67 Chevelle plans

Well, just picked up a new set of wheels for it. Sadly, the bias plies are dry-rotted. 4 early 60s Chrome slots for $200. No idea what kind they are.
