I just found this thread and think the work you are doing is great. I'm a bit confused though. The original post says the engine and trans were just rebuilt but the last posts show you going through the engine. Also, the first post says you are not happy with the color, then shows you coloring sanding the original paint. The next posts show the car going out to be stripped for new paint, which appears to be the same color once repainted. Anyway, it looks like you are doing a great job, I'm just a bit confused as usual.

Thanks ..but your not confused I am LOL when i pulled the engine apart to ck the bearings ...not so good ...who ever assembled it nicked the crank on some rod journals.. bearings looked like crap engine sat for years water jackets were full of muck so thats the reason for the freshening up as far as the color sanding goes wanted to see what the color would look like shining the color started to grow on me so i stuck with it
