----I believe this was my problem child Z! My customer didn't do any due diligence because the car was such a rare combination and it was located in southern Califorrnia. Well, it turned out that it came from Tonawanda NY and was so rusty that it even needed a top, also hit hard in the rear quarter, and the original block was so screwed up it had to be ditched. Then my X body man screwed up the paint job and I had to take it to another shop all on my dime, of course. Came out nice eventually, but left a bad taste in both the owners mouth as well as mine!.....Bill S

----I should also mention that when it showed up at auction it was missing a bunch of NOS and just nice original parts. I don't think that was my customer, but an owner down the line.

I had one of those too. '67 GTO bought in Minot, ND with a Colorado plate on it. RUSTY pile of dust. Bought the PHS AFTER I bought the car and it was delivered to a dealer in WV...:rolleyes2: Drove to Aline OK for a frame and built a car from that.

Wow; rusted through roof? Pretty bad.

I put a roof skin on a 69 Z/28 in the summer of 71, but not because of rust.

They don't move as well on the roof as the wheels, eh ?

I did that to a 3 month old 'Cuda in 1972...:frown:

Looks like you have an AM-FM radio with a capacitor under the hood.

The 65-67 GTO fitted with this radio required this little in line unit to combat ignition noise.
