The museum wanted a '64 or '65 Tri Power GTO in that spot, so it got replaced by this car: http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...1&d=1529189703 http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...1&d=1529189721 http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...1&d=1529189735 http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...1&d=1529189748 and the T-37 was relegated to the back of the room. Sorry 'bout that, guys. K |

GM’s Batmobile proposal mocked up by Paul Deesen on Chuck Jordan’s personal 1967 Corvette Coupe. https://i.postimg.cc/rwgbbJ05/00.jpg You can easily understand why GM's proposal lost. TRIVIA: George Barris signed a deal with Twentieth Century Fox Television and Greenway Productions that paid him $150 (1966 dollars) per episode to have the Batmobile in the TV show of which there were 120 of them. In today's money that would be $1247.64 per episode. Total = $18,000 ($149,059.94 in 2021 dollars). Barris built 5 Batmobiles and put them into shows all over the country. The Batmobile was Barris' biggest cash cow. |
