Your right about that Joe. I don't eat that stuff like I use too. Only for my friends who come into town. I am to old and have no metabolism anymore. But Mike Piecyk (Taboo) is in great shape, he can eat that stuff when he wants. He will be getting a sample of this stuff when he comes in for Corvette Carlisle.

Are zip-ties allowed on Day 2 cars? They were invented by Thomas & Betts in 1958 for aircraft wire harnesses, but they were originally metal. I don't know when they switched to nylon or when they started to be used outside the aircraft industry.

No, youd have to use those little, green paper covered, wire, twist ties that came in the box of plastic baggies. We used those a lot, back in the day.

GM actually had a plastic style "snap tie" that was used on 69 cars..maybe others. Our 69 BB Novas have them holding wires together near alternator wrapped around the heater hoses..so, I guess you could use those and be "period correct".

black electrical tape. If you use the metal ties wrapped in paper they may cause your plug wires to short out between each other after time. Ty-wraps have been around a long time. They are better than the bread wrapper tyes BUT I don't remember anybody using them till the 80's. GM offers nylon tyes for what you need. Any RS car or heavy optioned car would have them.

OK, I guess I'll have to switch over to black electrical tape. Thanks for the help.

Pete, like Tommy Williams said you can use the GM tyes also. Your car should have them if not, I may be able to help you out. Sammy
