#231 This Fathom Green 69 Nova SS Yenko SC is 114279W467990 and was sold new at Yenko Chevrolet in Cannonsburg PA. It is part of the second batch of Novas that were built the second week of April. This car was featured in the April '95 issue of Muscle Car Review. It supposedly has its original transplant block from Yenko. It has been part of Cliff Ernst's collection for over 30 years and will be auctioned off with other cars from his collection at the Mecum Kissimmee Auction in January.

#232 This LeMans Blue 69 Nova SS Yenko SC is 114279W394259 and was sold new at Dale Chevrolet in Waukesha WI. It is part of the first batch of Novas that were built the first week of January. This car was in the Barn Finds at MCACN in '22. It has now been fully restored by Level One for Phil Mitchell and was one of the Premier Unveilings at the show.

This is 1 of 10 built in Olympic Gold and I believe 1 of 6 known to exist. This is an ex-race car with 21K miles. I'm not sure who restored this car, but it was recently completed. Doug Perry had it being judged for Camaro Legends Certification.

I’m especially fond of this Nankivell car. Growing up on the south side of Indianapolis I was at Nankivell a lot with my Dad. I remember seeing the orange ZL1 they had. I’m imagining I saw this one but I was only 9 lol.

I don’t remember Rick Barratt racing this but do know his other race cars and his brother Marty ran a tight ship at Raceway Park. :)

Agreed. This is one of my favorite Yenko's.

Dale was not a Yenko franchisee for the 1969 model year. I believe it was sold new out of Yunker in Oconomowoc. Dale ran an ad for a used Yenko Nova late in 1969.

Mrays,

Thank you for taking the time to post the pictures and a little detail about the cars. It takes some of the sting out of not being able to be there in person!

The LeMans Blue Yenko 427 Nova had a Dale emblem when it was found but not sure if it was sold new there.

This show room photo is said to be Braeger Chevrolet. Yunker Chev and Hult Chev also sold Yenkos in that area so its hard to confirm where it was sold new.

Not sure if the car in the showroom is the same car

No they were not, but they were in 1970 for the Yenko Deuces. When Ed Schoenthaller a.k.a Mr. Ed of Brigance Chevrolet move to Fencel-Tufo and set up the Yenko Deuce program he told me that a left over 1969 (Yellow; from his memory) Yenko 427 Nova was "packaged" into the deal. I am told that Ed Cuneen has the VIN for this car. Anyway, maybe that is how it ended up at Dale Chevrolet. They got it with their Deuces??

One of the owners of Dale is still around and we should see what he remembers. Dave Mills (Mills Chevy) is his nephew. So Dave, if you see this please check with your Uncle.
