Acronym for "situation normal; all f!#ked up".

There was a third favorite: SUSFU (Situation Unchanged: Still F*@ked Up) but this one has fallen out of favor and is no longer used.

Also FUBAR has another meaning: "F*@ked Up By A$$holes in the Rear".

Chrysler was seriously considering selling a 2 seater to compete with the Thunderbird and Corvette. The 1955 Chrysler Falcon Concept Car. 1 of 3 built. The reason for not building it: Chrysler determined the market for three 2 seater sports cars was too small.

The Z29 stripe package was the internal RPO code for base side stripes standard on the SS396. Of the 63,006 SS396 models produced in 1967, 4,770 (a little over 7%) opted for the RPO D96 special stripes yet these are not often seen today and many restorers choose not to replace even the standard stripes.

I was at the 2006 BJ auction when Pratt was building his collection hot/heavy. He bought the LS-6 Chevelle convertible drag car and the GM Futureliner bus among a bunch of other cars at that auction. I believe he spent close to 10 million that weekend at the peak of the market. I always wondered how big of a bath he took when he liquidated.

Since he built his collection one auction at a time, it would be next to impossible to figure out how much he lost.

The mosquito with the crew belongs to the military aviation museum. The hellcat and zero are Caf aircraft.

CanCOPO 10-25-2021 02:09 PM

The mosquito with rockets was Rod Lewis’. Gone to a guy in California after his divorce. Damn.

CanCOPO 10-25-2021 02:17 PM

Only 3 mosquitoes flying. The fourth either just flew or is just weeks away from doing so.

Bill S - Are these "The Four Kings?"

----You can see the Penske car and the corner of Scotts red car. Those are the only two of the 4 that were there in 2016 at Bloomington Gold at the Indy track. The 3rd car has yet to be fully vetted and the 4th is, so far, missing! That is my understanding. The silver car and the black car are both stock 66's with as many competition options as were available on a regular order form. My 66 (Jan's car) is at the other end of the room full of notable 66's.....Bill S
