Ken, when you get the repro out could you post a side by side picture so we can see the difference?

Thanks,
Steve

The New pad is in and installed..........Here are a couple of pic's of the Molded Repro Pad......they are pretty rigid as it is molded and the final shape is such than when installed the ends won't stay in place and get squeezed out of position........I'll take some pics later of the new pad installed.......

Before .......With that "Awsum" Repro Dash Pad

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...AED29CE139.jpg

After..........OEM Just Dashes Restored pad

As you can see the painted Dash is not exactly the right color.......And I was reprimanded by the person that restored this car for ruining a perfectly restored car...........I guess it all depends what the meaning of "Perfect" is......LOL.........I may get around to repainting it the correct color someday...........And then again......LOL.....Too much fun driving it.......

It was 60 degrees here yesterday and I wanted to take the car out for a ride......After not driving the car for 4 months......Gonna have to learn to drive it all over again......This thing makes so much power and response to gas pedal movement is immediate.........Amazing!!.....These LSA engines are beyond belief......7500 miles last year without a hiccup.......Averaged 20 MPG and again....it never gets Hot and Idles like a Grandma's car.........We are doing the Power Tour again this year and also signed up for the Good-Guys Road Tour.......Busy Summer coming up............

I am jealous, you had a 60* day ! The dash color is fine, agree will Albert, they did not always match 100%.

Ken;

Did this resolve your driveline issues?

I had my Chevelle out yesterday. While the re-adjusted pinion angle did help the ~50 mph vibration issue the car had, the vibration is definitely still there at....eh...shall we say...."higher speeds".

I need to get this taken care of once & for all.

BTW, is there a limit to the power these shafts are rated for?
