In the first sequence of this last set .. is that a turbo on the right side of that motor in the 69 camaro?

Yes, the Z-28 has a later 350 with Banks turbocharger on it. He has a date code correct DZ302 to go with the Camaro as well. This car has not driven in 30 years. Rat turds all over the intake manifold.

Some rotting musclecars I looked at recently. '69 Z-28 (non-original motor), '66 Chevelle SS396 convertible (325hp/PG), '73 Z-28 (350/TH400). Guy has owned these cars for decades and they are sitting in a rat filled garage. He will sell them, but generally wants too much money for them. I was interested in the '69 Z-28, but without paperwork and original motor, I don't want it. </div></div>that 66 chevelle is nice any idea of his price? thanks jeff

I don't know how much he would want for the Chevelle. Its a 396/325 with a Powerglide. I believe the original color is white. My guess is he wants too much as he was looking for $20k on the 69 Z-28.

If you want his phone number, PM me.

Well new year, I thought I would share some of the stuff I've done lately.

Started a video series on YouTube about the stuff I find. Lots of crazy things there. And hopefully many more to come!

https://www.youtube.com/AutoArchaeology/

Also there is my stuff on Hot Rod.

http://www.hotrod.com/contributors/ryan-brutt/

And every day I post something to my Instagram feed, that gets relayed onto my Facebook page

https://www.facebook.com/TheAutoArchaeologist/

https://www.instagram.com/theautoarcheologist/

There is a ton of cool things happening this year. So I'll try to post more often.

My son and I went to look at this 68 Roadrunner because a friend of a friend said it was for sale...It was, one owner supposedly numbers matching. It has been sitting in that same spot since the late 90's and it was sunk into the ground and every panel on it was riddled with cancer. There was also a Conv Sport Fury, a 59 T-Bird and a 74 Mustang Cobra. We didn't buy anything although they were all priced to sell. A friend bought the T-Bird.

I've got numbers for standard vs. deluxe and you'd be surprised it's not too scarce, but it depends on the engine.

I guess the 'scarce' comment is anecdotal...every '67-68 Firebird I've owned has been black standard interior.

I've been compiling numbers from the GM Heritage Center but there was something about the VIN posted on eBay that wasn't jibing, so I kept quiet (not suggesting something sketchy, but didn't want to introduce something that could be inferred as less than legit). If the seller wants to give me more info on the VIN prefix, engine, and other little details, I am happy to try to figure out standard vs. deluxe ragtop production based on my spreadsheet. I may even have numbers on PW cars!
