Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
That looks to be a '75 Hurst Olds. They didn't make a '76 Hurst Olds.
W25 = 350ci 1293 were built in white. |

Out buying parts a few weeks ago and came across this.....72 LT1 original motor trans and rear. Front buried almost up to the belt line. "Going to restore it"

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Wow, clean stripped "bare glass" in the elements is a hidden disaster......
I bet the Frame is "Shot" ...Vette frames outside for years is a haven for ROT. it's a shame, an LT1 Car was probably the best small block Corvette of them all , especially a '70 |

The interior was also torn up. No idea on the trunk or engine compartment. The hood appeared to be in great shape other than the chrome and that what matters. No call back as of yet but will follow up today. |
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
It looks like someones in the market for an SS Impala

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Not in the market but when something like these come by I am a player.

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Very Cool Rick!
Sure look's like it hasn't been outside for the past 23 years, so the owner might be teasing everyone. Seems to be complete. I have seen the complete hood with the bezel sell for $3000.00 alone in rougher shape than what this hood looks like. Good Luck, I hope you get a call, but I am sure you are not the first person who has asked if it's for sale. See you in November. Bill |
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
I guy I stopped and talked to said that the car was moved out of the barn to make room for a wedding reception that was held this past weekend and had not been moved back in yet. The last two hoods I saw sell were both in excess of $4k. I believe in fate so if it does not happen so be it. I am tracking a couple of WAY more important leads so I won't lose any sleep but it still would be neat to bring another Z24 home again.

I probably don't have that one in my list. Out of 106 in my list, only 6 are Butternut Yellow! Was it a TH400 or 4spd? Wonder if the drivetrain is original. |
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Warren, when I stopped no one was home and did not think it wise to open the door or hood to get that information hoping instead the owner would call me. So far that has not happened and the car is now back in the barn. I am told by people who know the car from back in the 90's say that it does not have the original engine in it. Not sure about the trans which was a Turbo 400. I have not given up but never seem to time it right when the owner is home and numerous calls have gone unanswered.
I wish I had kept track of VIN's starting back in the 70's as I had MANY of these cars pass through my fingers and knew about many others. I just never figured one day someone would have a registry. Ditto on the LS6 Chevelles. |

Wow I'm a die hard bow tie guy but I loooooove the Cuda. Had the same thing happen to me but it was a Buick GSX.

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
There's a storage facility nearby that has a Lemans blue with white interior 1969 Chevelle SS 396 right inside the gate. It's rough but looks to be the real deal. I've thought about asking about the car but, I don't have the space or resources to do anything with it.

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Saw this car for sale over at Teamcamaro about 5-6 years ago. I think he was located in Manahawkin NJ.
Not sure what ever happened to this car. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...roject_car.jpg |

'69 Z-28 (non-original motor), '66 Chevelle SS396 convertible (325hp/PG), '73 Z-28 (350/TH400). Guy has owned these cars for decades and they are sitting in a rat filled garage. He will sell them, but generally wants too much money for them. I was interested in the '69 Z-28, but without paperwork and original motor, I don't want it. |
