Okay, so only new ones since the swap are showing. I'm sure they're available, we'll get it on the list.

Have you all noticed that when you do a Google search for any thing on Yenko.Net it always brings you to the main page were as before it would go right to the subject.
I also kept a favourite link I did on my car years ago and it now takes me to the main forum page too.

Yes, that's part of getting the old links working, and we're in process of fixing that.

Is there no longer a provision to send pictures in PM's?
Pics previously uploaded into the old system still work Ok in PM's but seems no way to upload new ones...am I missing something?

Not missing anything. Pics on the internet can be added to pm's, but attachments aren't. There's a fix for that, and we'll be doing it. Right now we're trying to finish up the old forum links to work with the new software.

Forgive me if I've missed it, but I'm confused as to why only some people are noted as "Yenko Paid Member". I have contributed to the site every year and always used to have the 5 stars by my name, but now I am no longer considered a "Paid Member"?

The previous software does not handle user groups the same way that vbulletin does. I have been manually upgrading people as I come across them, and I just handled yours. The permanent solution is almost done and everyone who is a paid member will automatically show as a paid member.

I can't reply or send pms

Or when I go to "sent pm" function my pms are not showing up so I don't know if it was sent. I tried every way possible to send a pm to a buyer and could not. This forced me to put personal information to answer pm in my ad. Now I have to hope the buyer sees this because I cannot send him s pm to even read the ad

In user CP there is an edit options button. When you click on that down near the bottom is the private message options. The last box sets up all your sent messages into the sent folder. Make sure that is checked. If it's not you will not show any sent private messages.

Oddly, this glitch is only happening on my Iphone? When home on the laptop, there is no problem replying to a PM. Now, I would like to find out why that is? And, of course, fix it....Computers are hard on us old mechanics. We like things fixed:grin:

More on the pictures thing and how we used to be able to cut/paste previously uploaded pic files and repost them into PM's and other threads.
This was super easy and still works Ok w/ old pics but not those loaded into the new system which now requires reloading these same pics again each time?
Maybe it doesn't matter but besides being easier to manipulate, I always expected regurgitating pics instead of uploading again saved adding to total megabytes/band width/Charley's dime?
Thanks and not bitching, only trying to find new ways to deal w/ the changes.

Thank you Jody and Charley.....didn't want to sound like I was whining, just curious. Sorry you guys are having to go thru so much work to get everything 'in order'. I figured it had to have something to do with the switch to the new format.

OK, just sent an email to my "computer guy", I'll get back to this asap. Makes more sense that it's an Iphone issue, as I couldn't find any issues with normal pc computer browsers and pm's.

We're going to add an attachment option to pm's, but we're still working on the old links repair. On the downhill side of that and want it finished first. Turned out to be a large project.

We have a lot of room on the server at this point. I am going to add the attachment option to pm's but it's another custom code deal, not a simple check a box in the admin panel.

camcojb 03-16-2017 06:58 PM

All you paid members should be showing now. Hopefully by tomorrow we'll have the old links working. Finishing testing on adding the attachment pic option to pm's.

Not sure if anything was done regarding answering Pm's by phone, but I have been able now to reply to Pm's with my iPhone now. Maybe a glitch? Regardless, thanks for the tireless efforts being performed to make the usage of the site more enjoyable. I have seen daily strides in making the site user friendly.

Glad to hear that as we've been unable to duplicate the issue on our end.

Thanks for Tuning all this up for us Jody.

I have been trying to get used to this. The old site was real nice that I could click on a topic and it would go to the newest post. I have tried several things now including checking off all catagories and then used the new post button. I did that and it took me to the very first post of the topic. What do I have set wrong?

You're not set wrong, that's a default Vbulletin thing. If you click on a thread off of the main forum page it will take to to the newest reply. But if you're already in a section like supercar/musclecar discussion, clicking the same thread goes to the first post of the thread, unless you click on a different page number or last page.

Fortunately this is a relatively simple code fix to make the threads inside the individual forums act like the thread title on the main forum page. Hoping to have this changed today.

Billohio 03-17-2017 09:50 PM

Thanks Jody. I just realized if I was on the main page it did that. Good work!

I tried again to post multi pics at once but no luck as screenshots below.
They show mini size when pics chosen but pushing Upload button @ Lower Right kicks them out?
One only lives through the upload as attachment below but which one a mystery until you check or compare KB's?
Thanks Jody!

First thing I noticed with yours is it doesn't list the image names, just says one photo, three times. Are these photos named? And each has a different name?

Also, you're using the top upload button not the one below with the blank url box, right?

PeteLeathersac 03-18-2017 04:51 AM

No file names as it's pics from an iPad.
Yes on the upper Load button.

So no error message, no pics can't be resized, etc? What OS?

PeteLeathersac 03-18-2017 05:27 AM

No errors and as screenshots before/after upload button.
Would pics need resizing if they load Ok individually?
No idea of what OS, listed somewhere in Settings?

Are you using the default theme of this site?

PeteLeathersac 03-18-2017 05:44 PM

I was using the Yellow format Non-Default theme, does it matter which when posting?
Somehow it's landed back in the Blue Default mode also I don't see the lower left choice to change it back so will stick here and give pic posting another go.
Thanks again Jody!

It does matter because all the tweaks we're doing are to the default style, which seems to be the overwhelming favorite by the members here. I shut off the Yenkotheme option for now. My guess is it'll work for you now.
