Re: Cars with Cragars
I thought that was obvious and current technology for the times considering the use of the old used dry rotted tires and oxidized wheels front and back .....all I can do is cringe with the thought of this car showing up for a street race, pulling up to stage as every other car scatters for safety !!!
Can you imagine the tech inspectors thoughts as they go over it for classification. ??? |
Re: Cars with Cragars
Very nice car but it needs set of bias ply VERY badly.. Goodyear L60's on the rear would be the t*t's.

Re: Cars with Cragars
This Nova is just BAD !!!!!
But,, with injection and those Small tires on the rear. .....L60's. do scream to be under the fenders..I agree !!! .. I wonder if the "Crower look is just that" a simulated Crower 'hat' on top of a 4 barrel or two ??? I'm sure some of you remember the 80's Fake em out Fad....fake blowers, injections, Pro street tubbed Vegas and Chevettes. with there 4 cyl engines in tact !!!! BUT I LOVE THE PAINT SCHEME & Blue lights ... damn, keep these One Off Cars coming.... |

http://baltimore.craigslist.org/pts/4759163857.html Great looking vintage 66 Chevelle with Cragars. |
Re: Cars with Cragars

This is worth asking questions about ,,, nice subtle look,,, |

Re: Cars with Cragars
OK....Back to CAMAROS for awhile.
'70 Z/28 COPO Spoiler car With '71 High backs . Original Drive train LT1 ,400 Turbo, Big -n- Little Cragar SS circa 1986 ....Sold it & went to our local Chevy parts department and ordered $8,000 (whole sale) in NOS '69 Camaro parts......about $40-$50,000+ in today's money. (I called today to duplicate my 38 Page '86 order, they said they're fresh out)....damn https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...8218-tom_6.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...8219-tom_7.jpg
|
Re: Cars with Cragars
The pins were on it when I bought it and they can be locked with one of those round keys like they used for candy/pop machines. I haven't seen any others around, but I may switch them to traditional pin style if the holes will line up. Also thinking about a stinger hood if I can get my paint guy to promise me it will match....the Nova was painted about 15 years ago, so I'm worried it wont match.

Keep the SS hood, Stinger and cowl hoods are bellybutton's..now an L-88 would be cool. |
Re: Cars with Cragars
Great looken Nova Pat!I've seen a cowl hood on a '69 Nova and it really looked good!Round keys are ACE locks.

Especially if it has an Original Delco-Remy Red "248" Pontiac transistor ignition coil...... |
Re: Cars with Cragars
There are also a couple of other numbers other than 248 that appeared on some of those red coils. 240 and 241 come to mind. Likely those numbers are only seen on assembly line coils since the 248 coil was what Delco used for replacements.

Re: Cars with Cragars
Jim. I assumed by the look of the car , you may have gone that far making sure it had chrome tail pipes & door edge guards. Mine is a 10C..70111x
X33D80 B , had chrome & door guards too. C&C Chambered now, from '87. Sweet ass color combo there... Tom let me know if you got your ncrs report.... mine came back . no info |
