A few more , the valve covers have "Japan" stamped in them , didn't know they were making our speed parts back in 1970? Both of them have GM "S" rivet oil caps on them. The plug wires are dated 5/71 ( I might have to update those!)

It's good to see that the 70's called and they want their paint schemes back! I love it! I know of a particular 69 Camaro that with undergo a similar paint scheme treatment.

Is there no "E" for Eaton on the rear? The reason I ask is that I have a BE I've been trying to verify, that does not have an "E".

According to CRG BE stands for 4.10 Posi.

Re: Dave's New COPO

The &quot;E&quot; is for the Eaton posi carrier, usually stamped under the date. Since it's a single letter that was hand stamped, this axle just didn't get the stamp.

427 , aluminum heads , dominator intake and carb, chevy cable drive dist. , curved neck radiator, chrysler &quot;HEMI 4 speed crash box&quot; (the tranny of choice back in the day), original BB cross member, dual lakewood drive shaft loops, BE 12 bolt with summers bros axles, lakewood traction bars, front disc brakes were replaced with drum (for less drag Back in the day), dual SW fuel pumps, the sub frame and bumper brackets have been drilled with holes to reduce weight,no spoilers , still has all the original carpet and a lakewood bolt in roll bar.The original owner had the car painted as you see it when it was one year old, and for an old laquer paint job there is no checking at all from not seeing the light of day for almost 35 years.
As far as the class it ran in , he raced at AHRA and IHRA tracks and I don't remember the what class he said but from the way the car is set up it looks like an NHRA A/modified production car. But I will find out from the owner. </div></div>

I love to read these posts!
And to think I liked History Class back in high school too!

Does anyone know anything about the Larocco's?
We did business from the 80's - 2010 with a company named Larocco Industries based out of Loveland Ohio. Industrial paper/paperboard converter and merchants to printers in the Ohio Valley.

Last I heard it was going back to cookie cutter stock... It is just a shame to put it back...

Should have been illegal to restore it to stock.

Keep restoring those cars everyone... Just leaves fewer and fewer survivors which get rarer and rarer!

I like your Dave Snyder prints on the garage wall. The best car art ever. I have a bunch in my garage as well.
