Re: zl1 engine found

As unlikely as it may seem, weird stuff happen.
Locally way up here in Canada, a guy passed away in Vancouver. He owned a chunk of land in a wooded area surrounded by the city, and lo and behold this guy had a couple of hemi cars, a 440 six pack car, crated hemi engines, 4 I think, chrysler shipping crates full of performance parts, including two full crates of 340 hi-po exhaust manifolds. I saw the pictures and met the lucky *&$%$^ that bought the whole contents for a little over 60 g's. Everybody gets tired of the "old car turns out to be a corvette for 500 bucks deal", but this stuff ocasionally happens for real.

Theres a pretty good chunk of land very close to me that has hundreds of old cars/parts scattered about ie.. 55-57 chevys, fords, mopars etc.. Its been an eyesore for many years as this guy will not clean it up, with that said the State has now stepped in and taken over, last i heard anything that comes out of there cannot be sold, its ashame but its all going to the crusher.

Was that you 427King??? Tryin' to weasel in on Joey's find?? Tisk...tisk

[/ QUOTE ] No ,i dont bother trying to buy them anymore. The last 3 ZL1s that were for sale on this site were 1] never for sale 2] priced wrong and then the price went up and 3] Non existant. Fishing expeditions arent my thing. Now i just email anyone with a ZL1 and tell them its worth 50K but that im not interested in buying ,kindof like everyone has done for years . That way they never get sold https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif

LOL nice.

Joey, no offence. You should not post up whereabouts of "holy grail" parts such as Hemi and ZL1 engines without someone KNOWING the guy and trying to buy it. Never run your mouth on the internet....

him to have this stuff except that as a young colored man he liked to race

[/ QUOTE ]

If this is what you are taling about, I dont see anything wrong with it. It could be as simple as the guy telling Joey that himself. Most Elderly black folks i have known will refer to themselves as such instead of black and if telling the story to Joey thats how he described himself theres nothing wrong with it being retold as such.

[/ QUOTE ]

Jeff,

I don't disagree. However, I've often heard blacks refer
to each other using the "N" work.. You try that and see
where it gets you https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/confused.gif

Wow this big a debate over the word "colored man"? Is he not colored? Is he not a man? A lot of them refer to themselves as "the N word" im sure if that word is ok, colored man is ok as well.
