Re: Early production 69 Camaro details.
Cheers Charlie https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif Good data - especially for early LA car owners.
Looks like I'm about 13K off your car in build. But, I notice the trim tags differ. When did they go from "LOS" to "VN"? Or are they seperate factories all togther? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif MY Trim https://www.yenko.net/photos/uploads/3398/DSC04179.JPG The VIN https://www.yenko.net/photos/uploads/3398/DSC04178.JPG Again - good ref material. |
Re: Early production 69 Camaro details.
Early LA cars had LOS on the tag until about the same time they went to X codes at Norwood (12B), then the Plant designation changed to VN. 12C is about when VN started showing up on tags at LA. Lee, your car is close to the VN time change.

Re: Early production 69 Camaro details.
Wonder if the R and 0 could have been reversed when they stamped Lees trim tag?

Re: Early production 69 Camaro details.
Could you tell me if the entire trunk latch is painted or just the part showing after adjusting the trunk. Also are the bolts securing it painted Blue?

Re: Early production 69 Camaro details.
Charlie,
How are the rear seat belts arranged? ie, which are male and which are female; on the doubles, which are towards the floor? When I dismantled my car, the belts looked untouched, so I marked the positions of each belt, and then put the new belts back the same way. My way differed from what I have observed on some other very nice restos. |
