Here's a '77 newspaper article on the Copo 9C1 Novas as Joe mentioned above.
Last is an ad for what sounds like one, somewhat amazing to see the Copo word being used in 1978.

As i mentioned sometime back i rode in one of these COPO Nova 9C1 police cars a guy i worked with years back purchased one at an auction. This 1977 car really could handle with the F41 suspension and the 350 cubic inch L48 motor had some good throttle response and transmission had a good firm shift to it. I know back in the 70s era the police really liked these cars locally because the City i lived in purchased these Nova's for their police fleet.

Sorry for sidetracking into the 9C1 Cop Car Novas but they somehow belong w/ this stuff too.
Anyone w/ more interest in these cars, here's the thread from two years ago w/ one of the Copo '74 prototypes...

Wow! Lots of photos of so much wrong for $80k!

Most liberal use of engine paint overspray I have ever seen. With that much extra paint, you'd think they would call it out on the trim tag!

And terrible panel fit, not to mention all the other things wrong. For $80k, you'd expect perfection.

However, I love L78 Nova's, just not this one.

I am totally not a Nova expert but am learning a lot by reading a lot of the posts about them!! I didn't see anyone mention anything about the seat belts but I believe they are "wrong"??:confused2: At least they don't look like the ones I have in my car!
