Re: Project: Hot rodding a 69 Nova
I made a lot of progress today. Got the rear axle out, and the sub-frame. The goal here is to get the body ready for the rotisserie, so I can flip the body upside down, and get all the undercoating off everything. I hate undercoating!! All I have left to do, is to remove the rear bumper, and it should be ready. The frame is almost ready to go to the sand blaster. I just have to pull the control arms off. Here's a few more pics of the progress.

Bill,
why do you have two downspouts right next to each other on the left side of your garage? |

Simply look at my El Camino signature picture below, for the dual downspout details. |

Re: Project: Hot rodding a 69 Nova
I haven't posted progress pis in a while. I got the frame out, it's blasted. I also have the body work on the frame done. I also have most of the front end parts painted. Still have to work on the control arms. Have to fix some minor pitting, then press all the bushings in. Here's some pics of the progress.

Got all the paint off it, and detailed it. It's still tight. http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/e...ps28895948.jpg http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/e...psf1614dc9.jpg http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/e...pscf757502.jpg Tom had put new brakes on the Nova, so I used them on the new 12 bolt. http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/e...ps0697496f.jpg I also got the high build primer on the frame today. It should be ready for the top coat, after another sanding session. http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/e...pse5c6c3ab.jpg |
