Re: Scene (seen) on the Street
This one popped up the other day just around the corner.
Looks like it's been ticketed too. I like this body style, and always wanted to do a Krown V8 conversion. http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c1...0903310006.jpg |

Re: Scene (seen) on the Street
During the summer I have the bad habit of taking photos of just about any classic car I see. I usually bring my digital camera with me wherever I go just in case I see something "cool" driving around or sitting in a field somewhere.
I actually got in trouble with the law one time for taking a photo of a guy's Charger. I was driving a big, long unmarked suspicious looking black van for the company I was working for at the time, and came across a really neat '71 Charger with a 440 six-pack. The next time I was in the area I made sure to have a camera. I stopped and took a few photos while I was in the van and suddenly a guy walked out of the house and I figured it may have looked a little suspicious. I cooly drove off, not trying to look like I was a threat or anything to the guy and continued on my way not really thinking about it again, I was just happy to have gotten a few shots of the car. It was a couple hours before I made it back to the shop and was there about 5 minutes before my boss pulled me into his office because there was a cop on the phone! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/shocked.gif Holy [censored]! So I picked up the phone and the officer asked me if I had been "taking pictures of someone's property". I responded "yes, I was taking pictures of someone's red 1971 Dodge Charger 440-ci Six-Pack parked out on the street." "Ahh.." he replied and sort of chuckled, "I'm sorry, but there have been a string of break and enterings in the area within the past few months and we're just being cautious." He mentioned the car's owner wasn't overly worried or anything but was just making sure." Looking back I realized how worrisome it must have looked - some young guy in a large, suspicious looking black van who looked like he was doing his "homework" before breaking into the place. My boss laughed after I got off the phone and told me not to worry about it. So thankfully everyone understood, but at that point I decided not to take any more pictures while on the job! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif |
Re: Scene (seen) on the Street
Saw this 1969 350/350 horse Vette today. Very nice condition up close. When I drove by this driveway this morning it was getting pulled out of an enclosed trailer. This afternoon on my way home it was parked there with a for sale sign in the window:
