----Earlier than this pic in 1966/67 Bill McGraw was a mechanic at Bob McDorman Chevrolet. He probably wouldn't remember but I used to stop in there to have him adjust the valves in my 66 427/425 Corvette. At the time he was running another 66 427 mostly at National Trails. He offered me a set of mounted slicks once so I could make a pass, but I didn't take him up on it. He was a nice gracious guy who went on to play a part in The Rod Shop, and started racing Chrysler products!....Bill S

I believe these cars ran the first edition of BFG radials, "back in the day". But they are no longer available for a race tire...

----Those BFG's were absolutely street tires, but the tread was shaved down quite a bit. They performed OK, but I at least think I remember them not matching real race tires.

Here is one of the cars that ran those tires. I took this at Road America one month ago at the TA reunion race. They ran 20 TA cars over the course of the weekend including the BFG Radial Tirebird.
