• this is one of only four known Belvedere I two-door sedans – as opposed to the more common pillarless hardtop – to be factory-fitted with a 426 Hemi,
• one of just three four-speed cars,
• and the only one known to have been a factory-sponsored race car.

Correct...I believe there are only 3 still airworthy and one of them is in Vancouver BC. It's drop dead gorgeous!

I actually had that model and built it with my dad. Dad passed away 21 years ago, but I wonder whatever happened to it. Thanks for the memory.

Yes, I googled it and there is quite a few still surviving. Never thought to "look" for any till I saw Lee's picture.

Would love to see/hear one flying. I've seen the Lancaster in the air from the Museum in Ontario and it sounds like 5 top fuel dragsters all at once, just thundering!
