Joe...John says he recalls the dealership with HIPO cars everywhere...but there were no 68 Yenko Super Camaros on the lot ...he said if there was...he may of left with a 68 . He said there were several 68 Z’s....but he was set on having a big block. He recalls his original salesman Ron Lane not being able to persuade him ..so Don Yenko came over and joined the conversation to help close the deal and sell John the 67 . My guess is since this was early March of 68 ..all the race cars were at Sebring. He was young and mostly focused on 1 car. Lol. I know I am inviting him to Chicago to see everyone and be a part of the display he is a great guy and I consider him a close friend if you’re there please feel free to come by and have a drink with us and we can pick his brain

The original Yenko motor is back together...but not painted yet. It may get fired this weekend on the engine stand. Dave McGaffee is my motor GURU.
