Let me tell you something to your restored Yenko Hood Tach.

They changed the complete inner mechanic with a very later dated unit ~1977. You can see the difference in the lighting. Your lighting is placed in front behind the black Yenko bezel. Original the lighting is in the case behind the 8000 RPM display with a large bulb.

Early Yenko Dixco’s had 4 cables: White, Black, Green and Red

Later produced Dixco’s with the lighting in front comes just with tree cables: Black, Green and Red.

Second thing: The adjusting knob looks like a later dated, also in mid-70th years.

About me, the restoring company made just a swap in your tach. They kept the rare original Yenko unit. Probably the Yenko Bezel is also a reprint, it looks like one.

I know they changed the insides as that is what they told me they did. It has three wire leads now.

Adjustment knob looks ok to me But I am no expert. Sounds like you have some insight on this detail. I am confident that the face is original. If you go back in my thread you will see the original face with the embossed &quot;YENKO&quot; emblem on it which are no longer made. This face is what was returned from the tach repair facility and is on the car now.

Hi Sam

I never saw a Yenko face plate with embossed Yenko logo. It looks like a sticker over painted in black. I don’t want say it’s not original. It’s just new for me.

Have you a survivor picture from such face plate?
