Mary and I went to the SCCA Runoffs at Road America last year to see a friend race. We drove Hwy 42 on a beautiful fall day in October. Mary is a Houston native that loves to go to Wisconsin every chance we get.

We were just looking at going there this fall and that road is a tourist draw on some of the towns web sites. With the loosening of restrictions, most of the accommodations are already booked. We may end up in our trailer, parked along the road..:dunno:

Why do British people call sausages bangers?

Sausages supposedly started being called bangers in Britain during the First World War. Meat was scarce and sausages contained a high amount of fillers, including water, that expanded rapidly under heat, making the sausages explode open when cooked.

Why do onions make you cry?

Cutting through the cells in an onion allows previously separated enzymes and amino acids in the onion to come into contact with each other, triggering a cascade of chemical reactions. It results in the formation of something called syn-propanethial-S-oxide, a chemical which easily vaporizes and irritates the eyes. The only sure-fire way to prevent onion tears is to wear swimming goggles!

Brand New C2 Corvettes on the train.

They seem to be ‘63 or ‘64 Convertibles, some with hard tops.
