Question for the pros, I've owned a lot of 1st gen Firebirds and I never saw a Firebird or GTO back in the day with the hood scoop inserts on the 400 hood painted black. They were always body color.
A neighbor had a '69 RAIV GTO back in '78 and those were body color too.
Now I see a lot(maybe 1/4 or so) of the cars with the inserts painted black.
What gives? Were some inserts painted black like this '70 Judge in the picture and other folks incorrectly followed suit? |
