This Rally Red 67 Corvette coupe was sold new at Mike Savoie Chevrolet in Birmingham MI. It is 1 of 20 L88's built. All of which were equipped with an M22 transmission. This car also has 4.56 gears. It is documented with its original tank sticker. This car was a Triple Crown winner in I believe '01. This car hammered for $3.2M at Mecum Kissimmee in '24. It was back at Mecum Kissimmee in '25 where it was bid to $2.5M. Here at Indy it was a no sale at $2.7M.

This Fathom Green 69 Corvette coupe is 194379S721981 and was sold new at Harriss-Conners Chevrolet in Chapel Hill NC. It is 1 of 116 L88's built and 1 of 99 with an M22 transmission. It hammered for $300K. From what I could find the M22 was only available with the L88 or ZL-1 option and there were 101 M22's installed in Corvettes. That would mean there were 2 ZL-1's built with an M22.

This Sunflower Yellow 71 Corvette roadster is 194671S116642. This is 1 of 188 LS6's and 1 of 122 with an M22 transmission. This is an unrestored car with 33K miles and still had its original engine and tank sticker. It hammered for $162.5K.

This Onyx Black & Calypso Cream 56 150 Business Coupe is VA56K102789. This is an original V8 car and according to the auction writeup it has an original 240 horse dual quad engine. However, there was no mention of any documentation that the car came from the factory with this engine installed in it or that it was a factory dual quad car. The T also appears to have been an L and changed to a T. This car did not have a heater, radio or back seat either. It was a no sale at $60K.

It is 1 of 4,475 LS6's built and is documented with its Car Shipper, original transmission and rearend. It does have a correct CE block. It was also CHP Certified and inspected by Chris White as well according to the writeup. This car was part of the Apex Collection. It hammered for $142.5K.

This Fathom Blue 70 El Camino SS is 136800B192459 and was sold new at Burton Transportation Center Inc. in Seaford DE. This is an LS6 with an M22 and 3.31 gears. It was documented with its original build sheet and POP and was CHP Certified. It was advertised as numbers matching, but I didn't see the CHP report to see if the drivetrain was original or not. It hammered for $172.5K.

This Fathom Blue 70 El Camino SS is 136800K210296 and was sold new at Papenthien Motors in West Liberty IA. This is an LS6 with an M22 and 3.31 gears. It had its original build sheet that was CHP Certified, but the car itself was not inspected. It's my understanding that the transmission may be original, but the engine and rearend are not. This car was recently a no sale on BAT for $175K. It was a no sale at Mecum at $100K.

This Hugger Orange 69 Z/28 is 124379N685441. According to the listing the trim tag is original and it came from the factory with the orange deluxe houndstooth interior. It was a fresh restoration and was said to be numbers matching. The chambered exhaust and X33 trim were added. The same consignor brought three cars that were freshly restored and had lots of happy marks on them. This car was a no sale at $155K.

The orange Z with orange houndstooth interior and the Dusk Blue Z belong to a friend of mine here locally. We purchased them out of the Mark Bulaw collection. The blue car does certainly has the orignal drive train and yes the stamp was mis stamped at the factory. He also had the Frost Green Copo at the auction it was originally a Glockner Chevrolet car and has paperwork.

This Firemist Silver 63 Catalina is 363P97386 and was originally owned by Mickey Thompson. It is #3 of 14 421 Super Duty Swiss Cheese cars built. The first twelve were Firemist Silver and the last two were Silvermist Gray. They all were equipped with 3 speeds and 4.30 gears. This car won Concours Gold at MCACN in '13. It was part of the Bobby Knudson Collection. It hammered for $430K.

This Tor Red 70 Superbird is RM23R0A172589. This is also a Hemi car with a bench seat and a column shifted TorqueFlite. According to the listing this car has its original engine but not its original transmission. This car was formerly part of the Harold Jackson Collection and was purchased by Bobby Knudsen at Barrett Jackson in Las Vegas in '22 for $1.5M. Apparently he really wanted a Hemi Superbird with an automatic. This car hammered for $380K which was probably closer to its true value. It is an older restoration with a column shifted automatic.

Here are a few pictures from the Gilmore Car Museum RPM last weekend. This Hemi Orange 70 Charger R/T 440 Six Pack is 1 of 15 identical Dealer Demo Cars built on the second day of production. This car was based in the Chicagoland area. This car has been at MCACN several times. It is now owned by Dave Arent.

This B5 Blue 70 Cuda AAR is a TorqueFlite car. There was a story in Hemmings Muscle Machines back in '23 on the rebuilding of its engine. This car has been owned by Val Grossenbacher since '78.
