----M22 Corvettes were rare enough in 66 (15 built), and J56 brakes a little less so (382), but the stunner in 66 was that 6 (I am almost sure of that figure) L88 Corvettes were built and released by Chevrolet in 66. None were for public consumption but at least 2 still exist and are beautifully restored. There were also 65 Corvettes built with 396 and M22s, but I only know of one for sure and it is unrestored.......Bill S

---- Lee,,, You have found the two that I referenced. The red 66 belongs to Scott Freese (AKA the Iceman). My 66 was next to Scotts at MCACN last year. Great guy and good friend. Blue Penske 66 belongs to Kevin McKay and is absolutely stupendous!!!.......Bill S

This doesn't 100% go along with the thread but still cool either way. A co-worker brought this in as he was going through some stuff. It was a reprint of an article from the Nashville Banner from April of 67 about the 4th Annual Auto Show here in Nashville.

----Wonder where that cut-away 67 Camaro is today?......Bill S

I was almost sick when I read that one, ugh. </div></div>
Holy crap Pete, that's my car! I mean it must be, mine is the only one that was sold new and lived its life in Phoenix, and the mileage matches as well. I had no idea this classified ad ever existed, this is awesome! According to my old titles this timing also roughly lines up with a change of ownership. Wonder if the ph# still works...
Thanks!!!

Continuing on, I just did a search on that ph#, and it looks like the car was advertised almost exactly one year earlier in the same newspaper. Pete, is it possible you can lookup this ph# from the April 5, 1974 issue of the Arizona Republic? I can't see the ad itself, but the summary of the OCR scan says it had &quot;13,000 total miles&quot; at that point. If you can't get the ad no sweat, what you've posted already is tremendously cool.
Thanks!
- Wade

Wade, PM me, I've found the guy that posted the Arizona Republic ad for your 71 Hemi Cuda Vert

Pete, fantastic thread. Thanks for all the research. Incredible stuff. I was wondering if you could post the picture of the 1967 Camaro Cherokee that appears on page 35 in the April 4, 1967 edition of The News Journal from Wilmington, Delaware. I am putting together a thread on Camaros that appeared at major auto shows back when they were new and would love to include this picture. Thanks.
