Rick, beautiful restoration!!
it amazes me how bad the rust was on a low mile car dang it |
Re: Black L78 1969 SS396 300 Deluxe Post Sedan Found
Thanks Sal and Richard
I appreciate the positive responses! Fenders will be painted tomorrow, then wet-sanded and buffed a few days after that, so I'll have a few more pics to post soon. I'm pretty sure this poor car just sat outside all these years before I bought it. We can be pretty sure which side was facing the sun by the rubber around the vent windows being hardened on one side and not the other, and also more rot on the shady side as it probably stayed wet for longer. |

That poor guy's knees must be about wore out. Thanks A few pics before the clearcoat on the fenders. Should be able to wet-sand and buff them out by Thursday. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...0-dscf7748.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...1-dscf7752.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...2-dscf7753.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...3-dscf7756.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...4-dscf7757.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...5-dscf7758.jpg |

Fenders and doors, as well as header panel and front valance are done.
May get the frame assembly going this week, but some powder-coated parts are still at their shop. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...1-dscf7759.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...2-dscf7760.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...3-dscf7761.jpg |

It`s obvious that you have been working your a$$ off....as it is clearly seen in the black mirror reflection in the paint. The last mirror reflection we saw of you.....you were a lot heavier
Are you using your new Camera? Well Done Dan |

The pounds just melt away......... Haven't tried the new camera yet for the auto parts pictures. Really want to see what I can do with some of the special effects it allows. |
