Thanks for the update. Glad all went well.
|
We had an awesome turn out and a lot of fresh faces with new cars that haven’t been seen before so it was a bigger turn out as we’ve had in several years I can’t believe how we had so many great new faces and everyone was safe and everybody had a Great time
|
I'd like to say thank you and tip my hat to each and every one of you who made SCR possible. What a fun and educational event. I'm already looking forward to next year! My wife and I had a great time.
Many thanks! Shar (Orange 69 Chevelle outside) |
That’s awesome guys!!! Count me in next year!!,
Cheers Dave |
Thanks to all of the people who do all of the work to make this happen each year. Most of us just show up, have a good time and then go home, but don't know how much work it takes to get this together. You make it fun for us.
|
The show and people were awesome, !! Very well organized... The drag strip was a "little" hot but was a fun time despite the heat...
One of the BEST car shows I have ever attended!! The Corvette Museum was very cool to tour... I hope everyone made/makes it home safely...... Thanks to Tom Clary, Jamie Jarvis & Doug Perry... Rich |
Shar,
Thanks for all the pics....they were all Great! You`re the Best! Dan |
I wish we had a page with pictures of each person, their real name and their user name so that I would know who I'm seeing when I go to these events. I'm sure that I've met many people from this sight at SCR and MCACN, but didn't know who I was talking to.
|
Had a fantastic time this weekend. Met some new folks and missed seeing some of the regulars. Congrats to Tom, Jamie, Doug, Cumby and everyone else involved behind the scenes. Great turn out under the circumstances. Time to rebuild the rear end again and get ready for SCR 24!
|
4.56's this time JB. Easier to turn those tires.
|
Jason, thank you for the AWESOME BBQ Thursday night!!
Food was spectacular.. Rich |
Yes, Thanks Jason for the food. If you need help with that rear end let me know. You are going to need something stronger than that Yukon unit. You have my number.
If anyone has any videos posted to youtube or other places please let us know. I have no videos at all of my car and I have no idea how the car is working. |
Some videos uploaded to You Tube...
Phil Woj and I just having fun... Don't laugh at our ETs..... My reaction times were hideous. Been a long time since I "faced the tree" LOL Thanks to Van Hurst for the video. https://youtu.be/y5u64Jwujpw Nothing like a little Jimi Hendrix blasting through the 8 track going down the track.. I think Phil flipped me off before our race.... LOL Just kidding... https://youtu.be/gZ0Qd49qz-E Benny Burn out... Freddie you are in the video. Sorry I didn't have the entire race recorded. https://youtu.be/qOZa1Yhd6d4 The Hanke Mobile L88 Chevelle Vs. Jeff Losapio's LS6 Chevelle https://youtu.be/UKC6b_PPcoA https://youtu.be/VZApbgR1Drk https://youtu.be/aFHeB2Xva0c Rich |
Rich, thanks for not making me look too bad. LOL
Shar |
I see that BBBenny had yet another good day at the Track. Downing all competition with his LRC prepped B/MP Nova. Taking out all competition from across the Nation. Cutting good lites and then running the competition down at the big end. The Professors forte.
If anyone wants a " match race" we are taking bookings now. Bring on the Hemi's. I can see his B/MP record falling even further. Go Benny Go! Thanks for the video's Sheriff Buford. |
I beat Benny with a lucky run in the first round, but he came back and got me the second time.
|
LRC Inc. was playing possum Freddie! LOL. Only kidding. You got a great car.
|
Thanks, and like I said, it was a lucky run. I can't drive that well.
|
|
Wish I was there

Our official photographer wasn't able to come this year. Hopefully someone else got some pictures. I didn't get any at all except for one that Jason sent me that he took of Benny with the trophy, and one that Bentley sent me of his car next to mine at the Corvette museum.

Tom, were you the quickest car there this year?
|
Maybe, would be between me and Benny. Looks like he dialed at 10.46 for the shootout, but may have been sand bagging, you know how racers are. LOl
I wanted to run him, just for fun, but seems we were never in the lanes at the same time, and after the shootout, everyone was ready to get out of the heat and get to the museum. May happen though, as we talked about meeting somewhere, like the Columbus area, to race and just hang out. I need to go his way some time this Fall and see what the mouse motor Deuce would do in some of that NE mineshaft air. |
Post - Three generations of Clarys with their Yenkos.
What is the story of the green 70s Camaro. I really enjoyed seeing this at Beech Bend. Custom fender flares.....day 2......wow!
|
1973, knew about the car for 20 years or so, purchased late last year from original owner. Tons of paperwork. Modified by Yenko then sold through Jay Kline. 427 CI with aluminum heads, beefed up 400 turbo trans, special 12 bolt rear, etc. Seems almost every part on the car has been modified, all documented.
A prototype, one of one, last Yenko BBC, only 2nd gen Yenko BBC, only BBC documented to have come with aluminum heads, etc. Was looking for a Yenko for my grandson Drew to race, he loves it. Has a worn out SBC in it now, this Fall/Winter will put a aluminum headed in it. https://www.yenko.net/forum/showthre...ighlight=kline |
First of all I would like to Thank all involved in this meet.

Those of you who were at the SCR this year probably know that I have a hard time finding 3rd gear. I put this in today to try and fix that problem. I'll get back to Beech Bend in a few weeks to see how it works out. Now I need to find one of those T handles with the button in the end for the line lock.
|
Thanks for coming Joe and sharing all of your cool parts we appreciate your knowledge and your participation this year
|
List of cars
Any chance someone has a list of cars that attended?
Thanks |
Any word on a date set for SCR 24? Hopefully back at Beech Bend? Thanks.
|

|
Anxiously waiting.....23rd can't make it / 30th can make it.
Not that I'm trying to influence the decision or anything....:3gears: |
