:) I hear he can wield a mean spray gun, too!:3gears::headbang: Falcon sounds great... |
Just got back from Beech Bend and it wasn't a good day for the Camaro. Something isn't right with 3rd gear. Doug, what are you doing with that old M23 that you took out of your car? :D
Hey Freddie...you need 3rd gear for sure !!!! I sold the M23 to a local guy for his Chevelle.
Found the problem. Shifter was bad, and my right arm was also contributing to the problem. It's back in the car with another shifter. I'm going back to Beech Bend Tuesday to see how it works.
I believe that unless something unexpected happens, we will be bringing Charlie Biele's Andersen converted 69 427 Nova with us. Not 100% done (needs alignment and a couple little things) but close enough to unveil. She's cool!
Mayor....that will be a cool car to see.
Just a few days away. Can't wait to see all the great cars and great friends!

For those who are going south on I 165 (Natcher parkway) there is construction on the bridges between mile marker 14 and 13 at the Gasper river just before you get to Bowling Green. It's very narrow, so be careful going through there. It scares the crap out of me when I take my trailer through there. Same thing going the other way, so watch out when you are going home too.
I hope everybody's getting home safe! I had a great time...AGAIN!
Scr22
Well thanks to everyone for a great time for this old man, what a great group of car guys and gals. Getting to go down the track again was very special, it took me back to my youth recalling the Adrenalin rush and excitement only drag racing can give! Cutting a .006 light in competition made me feel like I wasn’t completely over the hill just yet. Again thanks to all that helped with this amazing event! Greg Nugent
Thanks Greg for setting things up Thursday night, and thank your wife too.
We need pictures!!

I'm sure many pictures are coming. Dennis has over 600. How about this for now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMIOM7-hCqU

We ALL thought that same thing Freddie. I was with Bob McClurg and Chuck Hanson during one of Kasey's later Wins. We all thought it was the final and that Kasey had won. EVERYONE was so happy for him and McClurg was already wondering how he was going to caption the article! :hmmm:  The final between Kasey and Rob; ........ well, let's just say there were TWO crowd favorites! :worship: Kasey, it's always a pleasure to spend time with you, and having Kase there with you just had to be one of the best memories you could ever make. And BTW, tell Jim I really enjoyed our conversations. I hope you ALL come back next year! |
everybody had a great time. can't for next year

Not bad? I think it's pretty awesome!
Freddie, did you get your oil problem fixed ?
Sort of. There was no water in it, but I still don't know why the level went up. Maybe I just over filled it and didn't notice. :hmmm: :dunno:

I thought I would share the few photos and videos I did take from Friday. My apologizes for not getting everyone's car either in photo and especially in video. I was only there for a few hours on Friday and had to head back to work on a "preservation project" Good luck, have fun and hope to see everyone next year. Cook signing out.
Big Thanks
Kasey, I have never had so much fun, losing to a Corvair by a bumper not once but twice!
Bracket racing at its finest. Having a sandwich and coffee waiting for the land ights to go down, and trying to catch you from halfway down the track. The Corvair running flat out at 55mph, with a 22 sec et, and me not catching you doing 106.5. I have never had so fun much losing. what a blast!! Andy |
Andy, It was a day for me to remember for the rest of my life, I was told not how fast you go but how steady on each run. Thanks to you, and all the guys it was a special moment one I'm sure I could never do again. >>>>>>>>>>>,
Sure you can. Next year.
Great pictures! thanks for sharing
I would like to thank Scott Tedro, Kenny, and Adam for there hard work and contributing to the Reunion as they always do. I was standing right behind the Falcon for its first launch...seeing a 8.995 pass was cool as hell ...the chassis was set up perfect ...that car went straight as an arrow on a string !!!!
And thank you Doug, Amy, Dennis, Jamie, Greg, Tom and anyone else who worked hard to make this possible. (please forgive me if I got a name wrong or left someone out)

Freddie ... What did the car run in the video that was posted ?
I don't know exactly which run that was, but it's best was 11.17 at 122.8. Most were around 11.24-11.26.
