Sorry, I've been looking for this but haven't found it, may be a custom hack. They have it on Camaros.net with VBulletin. I'm going to ask someone who knows more than me.

Got my Sig pic to work, then all of a sudden, what looks to be the old web site started loading.

I'm OK either way, just saying.

Just checked my setting, it's on default style.

I switched the default setting to be "default" instead of the Yenkotheme that was built. Seems far more people prefer the default look. We're going to switch the colors and add the logo and vendor banners, but keep the default framework.

You can still view the Yenkotheme if preferred, just switch it in your user cp options, or at the bottom left of the forum page.

I was just getting used to the old "new theme".

Truth be told, I like this new "new theme". I'm keeping it for a while.

Thanks Jody.

That's why you'll still have the option between the two. Just seemed many preferred the default VBulletin theme.

Real names fit nicely @ the beginning of Profile 'About Me' Bio.
CP + Edit Details, note Bio under Additional Info.

Looks like links posted to past SYC threads no longer work?
Recent example, click below to last week's Clone LS6 'Vert thread and try the link I had posted to the 2015 thread on the same car...

This is not good! For example I just tried to find "Where is 69 Yenko Camaro 124379N663539?" thread, that we are all familiar with, by using only the VIN punched into Google. It took me only to the main SYC page. Not good enough. There's a step missing. Wondering how much Search Engine Optimization expertise was applied during this change-over?

Guys....We have a ton of stuff that still has to be done. My understanding is it is a very time consuming process so can we please stop bitching for now ?

earntaz 03-08-2017 02:33 PM

Keep on "tweaking" it Charley -- we're not going anywhere!! TAZ

Though, this brings up another issue....how do we get the pictures to load below each other?

Before, when we hit preview, it showed the code for the picture link and you were able to manipulate it to each picture had it's own line-these are loading side by side....

Jody, when you get some time, please help :)

Thanks Bruce and that's exactly where I was at but something went awry.
I had two pics selected but only the first one made it through uploading to the current attachments, tried it twice and same thing both times?

If you load each one separately and then hit upload they should both show up. If one of them is too large it will give you a message telling you that.

Thanks Jody and I think that's what I did but will have to give it another go.
Is there any way to capture picture file names once uploaded now?
With the old system, you could upload a few then arrange their order by cutting/pasting or easier was just swapping the last digits of file names.
I have a bunch o' pics saved I had previously uploaded to the old system but can't see their file names now?
Looks like I can maybe "quote" them into threads but would appreciate learning better ways to manipulate files etc.

If you right click on the picture it will give you the web address and pic name.

In the Default theme, a section will indicate that there is an unread thread. But when I view the topics, none are highlighted as unread. Doesn't happen all the time.
Not a problem in the Yenko theme.
Strange....
Not sure if it's possible, but instead of just the little picture being different to show that there is an unread thread in a section, can the title of the section also be bolded?
Thanks!

Yes, I like the default much better :) Thank you!! I cant get my signature picture to post? thank you very much for all the hard work.

One more thing about sections.
If I go into the Tech section and read the new posts and return to the index, refreshing the index does not change the status of the Tech section. It still shows unread topics, which isn't true.
This is a pain, because sometimes I can't remember which sections I've looked at, and the forum won't accurately tell me.

Mr70 03-09-2017 11:04 AM

Is anyone else noticing this?
I logged on to see I have 745 in box messages and am full.I was full prior to this change over, but now each conversation is broken down into single separate individual replies.
Meaning if I had a conversation with someone prior to the new change containing 15 bundled replies back & forth between us,I now have 15 individual Private Messages for each reply showing for that 1 single conversation today.

Is this the new norm?

m22mike 03-09-2017 11:34 AM

posting

Pic#1, When I post or load a photo I never see this screen as in Bruces example above.

Pic #2, This is what I see. Do I need to change a setting ?

70 Forest Green Zee 03-09-2017 02:53 PM

Mike....here's what you need to change to get the screen you're looking for.....

go to user CP
Edit Options
scroll down to the last section Miscellaneous Options
Message Editor Interface
Change this setting to "Enhanced Interface- Full WYSIWYG Editing"

You'll then have the screen you're looking for with all the Yenko icons from the old software

hope this helps

m22mike 03-09-2017 03:25 PM

That worked, thanks.

Mike

We are doing some custom code changes, and conversations for pm's is one of them. Should have a lot of this stuff done in the next week or two.

Fixed the sig. We're working on a permanent fix, but for those who's sig pics aren't showing, copy and paste this code into your signature box in user cp/edit signature, and then click "save signature". This will make the sig pic show (as long as you have a sig pic properly loaded up).

I am having the same issue. If I clear my cache it still doesn't change anything?

If I do that, the threads in that section are no longer highlighted, but the main forum page still shows unread posts. So the individual threads are working for me, but the main forum page doesn't reset.

We'll figure it out.

Xplantdad 03-09-2017 09:39 PM

I know you will :)

70 Forest Green Zee 03-10-2017 03:50 PM

One quick question.....will you eventually be adding sponsor links ? I used the link here on Yenko.net to get to the Muscle car of the week videos but it's no longer here.

Charley Lillard 03-10-2017 03:57 PM

Yes. We are still figuring that out.

If you click on "community" in the top menu bar you'll see a link to your friends list.
