Re: Supercar Photographs
#70. This Yenko Camaro was sold new at Van T. Chevrolet in Mission KS. It is 1 of 4 known Olympic Gold Yenko Camaros. I posted pictures of the one sold by Jack Douglass earlier. There is also the one in the Brothers Collection that was sold by Stauffer and then there's C. Ernst's magazine test car that was sold by Yenko. This car was restored by the Supercar Workshop and was featured in the June 2010 issue of Muscle Car Review. It was also pictured in Bob McClurg's Yenko book and American Muscle Supercars.

Re: Supercar Photographs
#71. This Yenko Camaro is an 01B car that was sold new at Jack Douglass Chevrolet in Hinsdale IL. If I remember the story correctly the original engine was destroyed when a rod decided to exit the block. After exiting the block it damaged the cross member. When the car was restored the cross member was left as is.

not from #71, but another Yenko cross member

Re: Supercar Photographs
Olympic Gold is beautiful and so underrated.

Re: Supercar Photographs
So without searching for an answer in this thread -- what is the hole in the cross member? Looks like it was simply chiseled out...

#72. This COPO Chevelle was sold new at Earl Evans in Painesville OH. To my knowledge it is the only known Dusk Blue COPO Chevelle. It has 29K original miles and is unrestored. I believe it has it's entire original drivetrain as well. It is a bench seat car with a M22. It was featured in the May 2009 issue of Muscle Car Review.

Re: Supercar Photographs
You never see the Spider wheels. A good friend of mine in SoCal has about 3 sets of them including some NOS centers. He will not turn loose of them.

Re: Supercar Photographs
#75. This Yenko Camaro is an 01B X66 car that was sold new at Stauffer Chevrolet in Scranton PA. It is order number 202499 and to my knowledge it is one of two known LeMans Blue X66 Yenkos. This car has been with the same owner for over 30 years. He bought it as a basket case with a small block in it not knowing it was a Yenko and turned it into a street machine. He then had it at a car show and someone with a real Hugger Orange Yenko Camaro was also there and looked at his car and told him it was a Yenko Camaro. The owner then got in touch with Ed C. and had this car certified. Once he was sure it was a real Yenko he repainted it LeMans Blue, added the stripes and emblems and found a 1969 512 block for it. It still has the BE rear end in it which he believes is the original. I remember seeing this car at shows 20 plus years ago, but hadn't seen it recently. He showed up with it at the last cruise in of the summer with it freshly repainted after being in storage for close to 20 years. I know there are a lot of small details that aren't correct, but it's a real Yenko and he drives it.

Re: Supercar Photographs
#76. This is YS8019 and it was sold new a Branine Chevrolet in Mulvane KS. To my knowledge this is the only known Sequoia Green Yenko Camaro. It was advertised as having 1.3K miles and still having it's original Yenko transplanted block.

Re: Supercar Photographs
#77. This Yenko was sold new at Joseph Chevrolet in Cincinnati OH. It was advertised as having just over 34K miles and having it's original transmission, but not having it's original engine. I'm not sure about the rearend. Maybe it's just an allusion, but it appears to have a short spoiler on the back. This car has been making it's rounds at the auctions recently.

#78. This is one of my favorite COPO's. It was sold new at Malcom Konner in Paramus NJ. It has 15K miles and is unrestored. It still has it's original drivetrain and is documented with it's POP and dealer invoice. It is 1 of 3 known Azure Turquoise COPO's and was once owned by Steve Sandlin. It was the July 2003 supercar feature on this site and it was featured in the November 2004 issue of Muscle Car Review.

Re: Supercar Photographs
#79. This COPO Camaro is N640918 and was sold new at Glockner in Portsmouth OH. It has an automatic with the shifter on the column. It was advertised as a numbers matching car, but I believe only the rear end is original to the car. I believe the T.T. is a reproduction and I've heard the POP is questionable as well. The VIN was listed on the COPO Connection website as a known COPO Camaro. I believe this car was restored by Brian Caudell and it was owned by Greg Dieterly back in the mid 90's. It was featured in the August 1996 issue of Super Chevy.

Re: Supercar Photographs
#81. This COPO Camaro is N676397 and body NOR108189. I don't know the selling dealer on this one, but it is a 4 speed car and was documented by J.M. It is an X44D80 car and was advertised as being numbers matching. It had a 140mph speedo added along with a 3 spoke steering wheel.

Re: Supercar Photographs
#82. This COPO Camaro is N649214 and body NOR298708. It was sold new at Queen City in Cincinnati OH. It is a 4 speed car and it was certified by J.M. It was advertised as not having it's original engine. I'm not sure about the rest of the drivetrain.

Re: Supercar Photographs
#83. This is a Baldwin Motion Phase III Chevelle SS that until several years ago was still with it's original owner. It still has it's original 396 that was upgraded to 450 horsepower and it is backed by a TH400 with a Hone a Drive. It had just over 39K miles on it when I saw it. It's documented with it's original build sheet and POP and paperwork from Motion. It was the July 2004 Super Car Feature on this site. Sorry about the quality of the pictures, but there wasn't much I could do about the reflections.

#84. This is ZL-1 #23 and it was sold new at Lafferty Chevrolet in Warminster PA. This is an ex race car and was advertised as having only 650 miles. I believe the engine in this car is an original ZL-1 block out of car #41. This car used to be owned by Steve Sandlin.

Re: Supercar Photographs
Yes Steve Sandlin had this car and at least 3 others at a Camaro show in Bellevue, WA in 2003 that my wife and I participated in. If memory serves the mileage was 666.

#91. This 69 Camaro SS396 X66 was advertised as a Nickey Stage III car. The VIN is N666539. It has a 427 with a 4 speed. By the time I found it at the auction it had already gone through so I don't know what kind of documentation it had.

#92. This is ZL-1 #1 and body #2 that was delivered to Fred Gibb. It was restored by Bill Porterfield back in the 80's and appeared in Car Craft and several other magazines at the time. I believe it has been reunited with it's original engine. It is currently a part of The Brothers Collection.

Re: Supercar Photographs
#94. This Yenko 427 Stomper is YS-604 and it was sold at Earl Davis in Mansfield OH. It is an 02E car and was originally an SS350 car. It is highly documented and I believe it is the only Yenko Camaro that is documented as having side pipes installed at Yenko. This is 1 of the 5 Yenkos that Keith Hutson sold at Mecum in Chicago in 2005. They were sold as a package and displayed at the Gilmore Auto Museum in MI for several years after that by the new owner. At least 4 of the 5 have since been sold. I believe this Camaro is now down in TX.

Re: Supercar Photographs
#95. This Nova was sold directly by Yenko and is in the registry. It was found in the 80's in a field near Columbus OH and purchased by Carl Dwiggens who had it restored. It was later purchased by Dick Bridges and rerestored by Mickey Hale. It was owned by Reggie Jackson and then ended up with Keith Hutson. It was 1 of the 5 Yenkos that Keith sold at Mecum in Chicago in 2005. It was then at the Gilmore Auto Museum for several years before being sold again. I believe it is now in Texas with the 67 Yenko Camaro right above it. I do not know what kind of documentation it has showing it was actually a 427 transplant car.

Re: Supercar Photographs
#96. This 68 COPO Nova is #21. I believe it was found missing it's entire drivetrain and it's trim tag. It does have a POP though. This is 1 of the 10 Grecian Green cars produced and I believe 1 of 2 that are known.
