I don't know how to say this right. IT's difficult. I just got a phone call to tell me that my best high school friend, Jim Holland, the guy who rode home with me the night I bought my '62, died of lymphoma.
I'll miss him. I can't believe how many memories I had with him. HE stopped playnig with cars a long time ago and was into scuba diving and Harleys. He was the best and longest friend I ever had in my life. HE was living just outside cHicago
He and I spent many hours in that '62.

Verne, I'm so sorry to hear of the death of your long time friend. It's got to be a very difficult time for you.

The story and the car have to be one of the neatest things I've experienced. We all have special memories of the "good ol' days". You have captured and said it better than anyone. Thanks for the trip.

Well said. Unfortunately many of our memories aren't what we'd like them to be. But then, we need to be thankful for all of them. Try not to dwell on the loss and focus on the smiles you shared. I'll bet that's what he's doing.
