Re: How many 66 427 425hp Biscaynes?
Exactly! A quick easy method and then it's whole again. It's starting to get up there.

Re: How many 66 427 425hp Biscaynes?
Does anyone know the part number for the air filter element that goes in this air cleaner?
Thanks, Jason |
Re: How many 66 427 425hp Biscaynes?
That used the very popular AC-Delco A212CW element.
Chevrolet recognizes it as #6421746. |

Rick was that the Square mesh 212?

Re: How many 66 427 425hp Biscaynes?
Well, it was used in '65 and '66 so it might be the square mesh.

I have an update as to why I asked this ? to begin with. I had a hankering that my 66 Biscayne was a real 425hp car. mssl72 came over and looked at it and we couldn't find anything to count it out or in. I recevied a package this weekend from one of the previous owners I tracked down and in it was a complete ownership history of the car. One phone call to Iowa and the guy says " yeah, I owned that car, bought it in '68, bought it from the orig owner, my brother". Told us where he bought it in Nebraska and how he and his brother smoked the tires from day one. Said they had the front tires off the ground several times. It is the REAL DEAL! Came 427/425hp, close ratio 4 speed, 12 bolt posi, rubber floors, vinyl bench no radio. Sold the car to a friend today who was waiting for the news to consumate. Did I leave out that I got this car with the Yenko in a package. Like your parents said, "Do your homework it will pay off".

Ah-ha! I wondered if you got that package. Was there any cool paperwork in the pile?

Re: How many 66 427 425hp Biscaynes?
That would be very cool if in fact it is an original L-72. These big cars with the L-72 are very unique. Nice homework.

Re: How many 66 427 425hp Biscaynes?
I am only seeing one pic per post on my last two posts. Is that what you are seeing also? Package had ownership history with copies of reg. back to 68 in Iowa. Called Mr. 1968 and he was the 2nd owner, his brother was the orig. owner. Both still alive and loved talking about slamming gears in the car. I belive orig. owner about how car was equipped, he has no reason to lie and we are getting notarized statements from them, also pics from drags. Car was bought in Nebraska, went home to Iowa, went back to Nebraska then Georgia then Florida then Nev. and now So Cal. More trailer miles than actual miles.
