I wouldn't call those Day 2 wheels... I don't remember seeing wheels like that back in the day...

You'd have to look at the funny cars/dragsters of the era....or, the WJ car that 55chevy posted above...nice shot!

No I would have to call them Day 3 cars, just because Day 2 cars were not fast enough... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif

Hey whats Grumpy doing with the I-PASS (Our auto toll collection method)?

This is awesome. Keep posting pics and sharing ideas. We might need a new section here. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/flag.gif Ed those are some great pictures. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif

I was under the 72 tonight. Oh man a set of new subframe bushings work wonders. That's it! I'm driving it to work tomorrow. But first I'll stop at the bank. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/tongue.gif

Wow... Darren looks like you got your hands full with this car! I would start buying some vintage Super Stock and Drag Illustrated/Speed and Super Cars/Hi Performance Cars Magazines. I have nothing more to say than what these fine gentlemen have already stated.

However... I will add this. The modifications being made to your car will certainly be original. Make the car YOURS! All the little details going onto this car will make it rather unique. Nice Work!

Ok this isn't working... I have to modify what I originally said... a Day-2 post?? (ok i'm a loser)... Check out some 3 inch Mickey Thompson Scavenger side pipes. I believe they are chrome. Cherry bombs are cool but I feel as if solid axle Vettes and T-Birds shoud have them... glass packs right? Not BBC muscle cars. I would also look into some street tires. I know your looking for that vintage look, but practicality and safety is also an issue. Hoosier makes a mean looking street radial, same with our bud Mickey T. Skinny BFGs like a 205 or even smaller will get look and feel just right...

Hey thanks guys, I even got some ideas with my own second gen. Best of luck Darren. Please keep us posted.

One of my favorites, the "Crystal Blue Persuader" from Car Craft, circa 1980. Needs an L88 hood though.
