Is the show 2 days? I am thinking that if our trek to the Reunion is successful this year, I might be able to talk LaDonna into going to this show next year. After all is is only 600 miles further than Collinsvile!! Jim

HI Who was the other (racer?) sitting next to Bill Jenkins in the picture? Joe Tryson used to be one of the mechanics... Thanks for the picture!

Re: York 30 Show

HI Bill Jenkins was running that little white Vega at the track for a WCS Meet. I asked him for his autograph and handed him a Two Dollar bill. He immediately said "where did you get that from, the horse races?" I mumbled something and then he signed it for me!
While some here wonder if they have their motor painted the right shade of orange; all the Jenkins motors were painted black. From camshafts to the bore and stroke Jenkins was the master of the "unfair advantage" before Roger Penkse even thought of it. Regards,

Hello Charles,
"unfair advantage"--such a harsh term---Ingenuity-sounds much nicer---Catch me if you can--is the name of the game. -----JoeG

For those inquiring, my buddy Motown Matt was a no-show at the York show! I was there, so if you were there Matt - I must have missed your visit. True to your post on the Nova board, the show was very interesting - even without your royal presence

That Bronze 1968 Z/28 is Jerry MacNeish's. He solidly has the car in the 10.80's zone this year. Runs NHRA Div.(1).

Did Jerry run at the US Nationals at Indy the year before last? Or maybe at Las Vegas last fall? I'm sure I remember seeing this car running in stock...

I could not believe my eye's when I walked into the building. I didnt know which way to go(left or right)Like a little boy in a candy store. This was Very impressive and if I new this was going to be this good I dont think I would have gone to the Mopars at Carlisles. The DH car was drop dead gorgeous and couldnt take my eye's off this car
I was Very impressed with Brians restorations. Hands down some of the best work I have seen in years. Brian thanks for your time after the worm up LOL !!
The best is after the trophy's when the guy said its 9:30Pm and we have to be out by 10:00Pm. Watching them start up and the sounds in the building made you feel fuzzy all over. I know where I will be next year. Thanks guys !!!
