I agree 110% If there is a automatic Muscle Car to own its the LS6 !!! Back in our street racing days (Late 70's early 80's) this was proved as fact as we roamed from town to town. Plus with the buckets and console there is No better looking auto setup .

As I recall in 70 is when they changed the turbo 400 to where you hammer it in low and it automatically shifts into second but at a higher rpm and hits hard.......Lots-O-fun.

or 1st to 2nd and back to 1st really fast does it as well.

To each their own. Personally for me, every muscle car I've owned has been a 4 speed. My Dad and uncle's who all bought and raced these cars when they were brand new. All were 4 speeds. Nothing better than having that control/feel when going through those gears. ROB

Slapstick upshift too. :burnout:

Exactly !!! and on the street where the traction was iffy at best it could be unbeatable , And I'm a hard core 4spd guy,All my car's are stick except my 70 Chevelle

In stock trim and tires, they certainly do good burnouts. (lol)

12.44 stock trim. Is that an average for these cars?

A Crisp Tune , Slicks , Headers, 4:10’s & a Vega torque converter would dip into the 11’s not to bad for a couple stoner kids in 1979/80 driven to the track

This LS6 convert was the first one I had ever heard of. In my opinion it is probably one of the best. I think I recall touch up paint work but history, options, paperwork etc set this one apart. But I would also rather have a Hardtop.
