It is on Barret Jackson's site that the pair sold for 300k. A loss on the cars. But generally what happens when a car is known. The excitement is lost. A car can end up being known as the previous owners car.

Their website has them listed as selling at no reserve in Scottsdale in a few weeks.

It also shows they did not meet reserve in Las Vegas.

I think Barrett in Scottsdale at no reserve is a good idea but not selling both as one lot.

Well put and my sentiments as well.

Kudos to the current owner on the first 2 firebirds for not putting a million dollar reserve and having his friends bid it up to 900K no sale like most everyone else would have done. Cant believe Barret talked them up all week prior to the show and then threw them down the line like 20,000 cars taking about 20 seconds from start to finish . Unfortunately after they did only 300K a month ago, it wont make for a big dollar sale the next time they go up for auction. I had a chance to buy the 000001 camaro the same time i had the 00001 birds, but I always thought if there was also a 000001 from another plant[whether it was found or not], there really couldnt be only 1 #1 car. Same with the birds as the 6 cylinder cars were built at another plant hence two #1s serial numbers ..I think 250-300K is right on the money on the two firebirds. While you may get more money splitting the cars up, the purist says keep them together.

Re: 1967 Camaro N100001 to be inducted into the NVHR

Sound logic that most everybody used to evaluate the Norwood car back in 2009 when it surfaced.

One guy gambled and bought the car. Shortly there after I did the critical research for Echoes and in doing so-uncovered the original pilot assembly schedule for both Norwood and VanNuys.

The Echoes research conclusively identified N100001 as the first "F" car by build date and option content.

It was the first built but not likely the first at destination... But that is a different topic altogether.
