JpMotorsports and Mr70....I have tried getting in touch with the builder but he has not replied. Maybe someday he will. How cool would that be to have the model sitting in my car at the shows?

Hi Ron...the attention to detail is well over the top. Dave owned the car for many years before doing any work on it. During those years he did much research on it....reading as much as he could and with phone calls to other Challenger gurus. He also took that time to carefully accumulate as many NOS parts as he could. The trunk weather stripping cost him $1200 alone. He did one hell of a job on her. Attention to detail was second to none. Scott is a plethora of information and goes above and beyond to help others. He found a buyer and got me out of a bad situation with a 70 Challenger R/T SE that I bought a few months earlier. I can't say enough about either one of those two.

Good catch Mr70. If I can get that model it will be a great added touch.

I had a 70 Shaker Challenger RT/SE Six Pack. Sold it to a friend - He still owns it.....I want it back - lol!

A shaker on any 70 Challenger is rare.......they didn't start shipping until May of 70 because of problems with the Challenger hood.

Mine was a 4.10 4-speed Six-Pack.....with the white roof and bumble bee stripe.

The pic with 2 of them is mine and my buddies 440-6 Auto - original paint car. Both were FJ5 Sublime.

There were only so many 70 RT/SE's with shakers.....can't remember the actual number right now but total 70 Challenger Shaker production was around 184 cars........need to find my info on RT/SE with N96 option.

Wow RS_COPO_Canuck....you have totally blown me away. Those are both unbelievable to see in the same pic. I can't believe you let that one go. Here's a short blurb and break down on the 70 Shakers.

Early in the '70 model year the SHAKER was:
STANDARD on HEMI'Cuda
OPTIONAL on 440+6 'Cuda & HEMI & 440+6 Challenger R/T

Spring of the '70 model year the SHAKER was:
STANDARD on HEMI'Cuda
OPTIONAL on other engine 'Cuda & all engine Challenger R/T

I've seen the following numbers (accuracy??)
1970 production figures w/N96 (US spec. cars):
BS23R0B - 652
BS27R0B - 14
BS23_0(B/E) - 717 (non-HEMI)
BS27_0(B/E) - 8 (non-HEMI)
JS23_0(B/E) - 164
JS27_0(B/E) - 5
JS29_0(B/E) - 15

I would bet the builder of the model would be very pleased to put it in the hands of the owner of the car. However, it may cost you. When I was building models MANY years ago people always wanted a replica of their car built. It was not hard to put 75-100 hours in a model with a ton of detail and that could get expensive. It would be really cool to have it however.

Hi SS427....I'm sure he would be very pleased and even flattered of my interest in buying his model. I know it will cost me but at the same time....how cool would it be to have a model of your exact car?

Re: 1970 Challenger R/T

caj, I believe there's a 1:18 diecast of your car. In fact, my friend helps the manufacturer with color schemes and options, so he was responsible for it. I've emailed him to ask him so that you can find the actual diecast and not just something a hobbyist created. I'll post again when I find out more.

EDIT: I may be mixing it up with this:

But still waiting for my friend's response on the Challenger.
