This one was in our Vintage Certification area. I am sure that Steve Shauger can chime in with more information; what a cool find!

Indeed, this car is owned by "the" Joe Oldham and his Son, Scott. They recently completed the build to duplicate the famous car that we all remember from back in the day, and yes, that was the car stolen from Joe and never recovered or found.

Special thanks go out to Joe and Scott, who joined us from California!

I would love some up close pics of those Motion cars if anyone has more to share. I would have loved to have seen Joe's recreation in person. Looks sharp!

I was just going to ask if that is "THE" Joe Oldham that I knew of. Bob answered my question. I think I have some pics of him testing a '69 Hurst Olds at Cecil County for a Cars Magazine article. Back in the 80s I helped a fellow do some research on a book about Camaros, '69s in particular, and that "Wanted" ad surfaced and I thought that was one "Bad-ASS" looking '69. The clone (from these pics) looks dead-on. Extremely cool.

What a great article, what a great gathering. Martyn, I've enjoyed reading your articles for years. I still have hundreds of old magazines with your articles in them. One of the good things about aging is when I read them again, it’s like they’re new articles.
