Re: It's a SS396 post sedan.Are they worth anything?
I know at least in 1967 it was possible to get a Chevelle with 4.56 rear and an M-20 trans.

Remember the transmission was still optional. You could order what you want. I wouldn't know about 4.56 and 4.88 ordered vehicles though. I've only ever seen docs with M21 and M22 in front of those. </div></div> In the Pontiac world, when you ordered 3.90 gears, you got the M21. For lesser gears, you got the M20. |

Very cool, John, sold new at Skip Hanson Chevy in Geneva IL. Very small dealership that eventually morphed into Don McCue Chevy in St. Charles IL. |

Tagged for future reference.. VIN 1343791307264
At least 3 pieces of Chevrolet salemans literature show the 4:10 was clearly available in the 1969 L35,L34 & L78 Chevelle, except when the L35 was equipped w/TH400,which was exempt, but all the other SS engine/trans combos list it as possible to the public consumer. |

</div></div> I believe if I or someone was going to restore it you would want to buy a nice southern body and use the floors and roof from it to restore this one. Just my 2 cents. ill take more photos tomorrow. Cheers |
Re: It's a SS396 post sedan.Are they worth anything?
Welcome aboard Steve.
This is probably more common.My 69 L78 had a M21 with a ZQ9 (4.10).The guy I bought the car off said it had factory 4.56,but I doubt it. |
