Thank you. Tube size is 2 1/8".
An interesting side note: The headers I have are nos from the mid-seventies. Around the collecter tube, the Hooker Header logo is etched multiple times. Does anyone know when they stopped doing that?

How big are your header tubes? Looking real good. Nice touches! </div></div>

The drag link rubs in the stock location. The idler and pitman arm have to be heated and pulled down to gain the proper clearence.

Re: Day 2 Vega

I had a couple of V8 Vegas, both panels, but have almost no photos of them. The second one I built as if GM would have built it, with a mild small block, TH350, and a Monza Posi rear end. I swapped in a complete GT dash and harness, 79 Z28 buckets, and used the GT wheels with the biggest tires I could fit.
These are the only photos I have, when it was partially finished. This was about 1986, and I was doing the Malibu at the same time.

Wow! If I had that car today, I would drive it as is. I love the faded paint. Is there lettering on the hatch or flaking paint?

It was a locksmiths car, only 40,000 miles on it. I remember the company too, Chubb, Mosler and Taylor. The fenders were rotten, the engine burned 2 quarts of oil on the way home, but it was solid apart from that. Wish I still had it!

Wow.Look how far the shifter is to the dash on the one in the top picture.
I wonder if this one is considered Day 3?
